Its very clean, we stayed way at the back, persons refused to help us to get to the front, the help desk dosnt answer the phone and the dont know to speak, I saw ****** at its best, my friend had a disability and we were refused a lift. The black guy were the one who tried to help. Very ******, would never return. We went to the icecrem shop the two young people hardly spoke, the saw us as blacks the assume we needed the smallest icecream, the didn't give us an opportunity to choose, I asked why not let us choose, the young man just made a funny face, I only complained the purchase because of the kids.

The room was reasonably clean upon arrival, but the quality of housekeeping declined quickly. A lotion stain I accidentally left on the shower floor was never cleaned, and instead of actually scrubbing the area, housekeeping simply placed a mat over it—as if to hide it. Initially, the room came stocked with two sets of towels, but after the first day, only one of each was replaced. While the booking was for one person, maintaining the original quantity would have shown a bit more care and consistency. There were several small inconveniences that added up. For example, the room phone had no directory, so I had no idea how to contact the front desk or reach any services. On top of that, the air conditioning didn’t work for the first two days, which turned out to be because the previous guest had asked for it to be turned off, and it was never reset. It took me that long to realize I had to ask the concierge to enable it again. In a properly managed hotel, the AC should be reset and ready for the next guest without needing to make a request. Noise was another major issue. The elevator makes a blaring siren-like noise when it opens, which woke me up every single morning. The walls and doors are paper-thin, making it easy to hear people walking or talking outside, and the doors slam shut loudly, adding to the disturbance. Finally, while not the hotel’s fault, there were a few homeless individuals living around the property, which might make some guests feel uneasy, particularly at night. All in all, while the staff were excellent and the location worked, there were just too many frustrating and avoidable issues—poor housekeeping, unusable Wi-Fi, subpar breakfast, noise problems, and a lack of attention to guest experience basics. I wouldn’t recommend staying here unless the hotel makes significant improvements across the board.

We've stayed at this hotel twice. The premium room and standard room only differ in size and the presence of a desk. The renovation is brand new, with a fresh and understated design. The elevator operates silently but is slow. The soundproofing between rooms could be better, but if you just need a place to sleep while traveling and want to quickly depart from Termini for other parts of Italy, it's ideal and budget-friendly.

Before even fully understanding the issue, Mr. Tofael looked us — especially my son — in the eyes and simply said, “Don’t worry.I’ll find a solution for you.” Those few words brought such relief and comfort. In a foreign country, such a mistake can feel paralyzing, but his calm and genuine reassurance made a huge difference. Even more touching was how Mr. Tofael and Ms. Paola S. at the front desk went out of their way to find a solution for us. Since the booking was made through an external site (not directly through the hotel), it was a complicated issue. Nevertheless, Mr. Tofael personally made multiple calls and followed up diligently until he was able to resolve the matter. Thanks to his efforts, we were able to spend our last night in Italy exactly where we wanted — back at Starhotels, feeling safe and cared for. As someone who has worked for years in global hotel chains in Korea and is still in the hospitality industry, I can honestly say that their professionalism and dedication truly stood out. They are a model of what true hoteliers should be — and they absolutely deserve recognition and praise. Without hesitation, I will choose this hotel again when I return to Rome. Great location easy access across from Vatican entrance, to Metro - 10mins walk, or buses 5-8mins depending on the routes. Great clean, comfort bedding, with nice working A/C for summer Aug 36-37 degC. Use Google Map to get transportation reference, pretty the local use, but the bus schedule could be off, prepare to walk plenty.

If there is no taxi, it is very inconvenient. If you are a free traveler who walks a lot, it is difficult to take the subway because the area gets dark quickly in the winter and the shopping district is far away. However, there is breakfast and dinner in the hotel and the accommodation was clean. The staff seemed busy. I want to stay there again next time.

Coming from Rome airport, don't bother with Uber – it's easy to get misdirected to Parking B, which is for large business vehicles. Taxis are much more convenient; they don't use meters, it's a flat 55 euros. The hotel itself isn't huge, but it has everything you'd expect from a budget hotel and was much better than anticipated. There's a fountain outside that always attracts a crowd of tourists and local youngsters having a drink. Not far away, there's a food store with good ice cream too. It's a 10-minute walk to the Colosseum and 20 minutes to the Trevi Fountain. Taking a taxi through the narrow alleys isn't worth it; walking is better. A comfortable pair of athletic shoes will be your best friend navigating those uneven, perhaps millennia-old, cobblestone streets.

It was quite a challenging stay. The requests I made in the booking were completely ignored. Upon arrival, we had to change rooms, which seemed to upset the front desk staff quite a bit. A South Asian porter helped us with our luggage. I didn't have any small change, as I mostly pay with cards and rarely use cash, so I only gave him a 2 Euro coin as a tip. From that moment on, whenever he saw us, he showed absolutely no expression. I mean, it's not like I was going to give him a 200 or 500 Euro bill, right? Was it even worth that much? The hotel breakfast was excellent. The room, although not as good as the original one after the change, was still acceptable. The location is fantastic: just a few dozen meters from the train station, and there's an airport shuttle right outside. There are no issues with the location, and the area isn't as chaotic as some say. The only problem is that all the staff had rather cold and indifferent expressions, making you feel, for a moment, like you weren't even in Italy! I won't be staying here again, even with its many advantages. I just don't want to deal with their attitudes!
