„Mecure, time to lift your game! It’s summer in Japan and the swimming pool is empty & closed.?? Surrounding landscaped areas not well maintained. Rooms & corridors delight you with a musty aged smell that takes time getting used to. Positives: View of surrounding coastline excellent, sunrise beautiful. Room’s good size. Buffet Breakfast decent with options Afternoon & Evening free snacks & drinks a bonus. Negs: Customer service adequate but can’t say a lot of enthusiasm. Room & corridor’s musty The place needs renovation Need car for access hotel. No pool operating in summer???”

„I had a wonderful stay at Shirahama Terrace Hotel. The location is perfect — just a short walk from the beach with a beautiful ocean view. The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. I especially loved the onsen facilities; they were relaxing and well-maintained. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. Breakfast was delicious, with a good mix of Japanese and Western options. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Shirahama.”

„Comfy bed, large and clean room. Have common areas like shared kitchen at the residence. The residence is located next to the main block of the hotel. You have to walk outside for ~2min to travel to the main block if you would like to enjoy the hot spring / play at the game room / exchange for new towels. Hot spring is nice, with indoor and outdoor areas. The outdoor one is with stunning sea view. There are snooker, table tennis, and other games in the game room for all guests.”

„We had 3 nights stay fronting the sea. Walking about 10 minutes to train station along covered walkway. Besides, many restaurants to hunt for meals. The hotel provide simple breakfasts which come handy for our hike to Kumano Kodo trail and Nachisan waterfall. Pretty close a big free footbath and morning fish market not far from the hotel. Near the train station they are many buses to Nachisan waterfall and Shingu town. Quite a peaceful fishing town.”

„JR紀伊勝浦駅から徒歩約5分、商店街の中にある黄色い建物で、すぐに見つけることができます。 少人数で運営されているようで、フロントには電話が置かれており、連絡するとすぐにスタッフの方が対応してくれました。宿泊内容の確認も丁寧で、周辺観光用のパンフレットを持っているかどうか気にかけてくださり、おすすめも教えていただきました。 建物自体は年季がありますが、きちんと管理されており、特に不便は感じませんでした。室内着、歯ブラシ、ポットと緑茶、空気清浄機も備えられています。メイク落としや洗顔、化粧水・乳液の用意はありませんが、持参していたため問題ありませんでした。 チェックアウトは鍵を所定の箱に入れるだけで、スムーズに手続きができました。 駅前の宿泊施設は数が少ないため、立地の良い場所に安価で滞在できて良かったです。”

„Grateful for the nice and helpful lady at the reception. Facilities are great (Onsen of course), a decent room to stay in and they even offer you amenities to enjoy tea there. Also, thankful to the hotel that offered me a ride to the train station so that I don't have to worry about getting on a bus with my heavy luggage. Thank you for such a pleasant hotel experience you have offered me, hotel staff team!”

„Went to check in at midnight, the receptionist was sleeping in the kitchen top. Needed to call to wake him up, which is a funny experience. All in all a great one, if you need a night in around Shirahama.”
