„This is such a treat after hiking for 4 days on Kumano Kodo. We have very nice views from our room and we truly enjoyed the cave onsens by the ocean in the hotel. We also enjoyed the dinner with fresh tuna and watch filleting tuna by a chef. The breakfast was just ok.”

Rooms & corridors delight you with a musty aged smell that takes time getting used to. Positives: View of surrounding coastline excellent, sunrise beautiful. Room’s good size. Buffet Breakfast decent with options Afternoon & Evening free snacks & drinks a bonus. Negs: Customer service adequate but can’t say a lot of enthusiasm. „Comfy bed, large and clean room. Have common areas like shared kitchen at the residence. The residence is located next to the main block of the hotel. You have to walk outside for ~2min to travel to the main block if you would like to enjoy the hot spring / play at the game room / exchange for new towels. Hot spring is nice, with indoor and outdoor areas. The outdoor one is with stunning sea view. There are snooker, table tennis, and other games in the game room for all guests.”

„I had a wonderful stay at Shirahama Terrace Hotel. The location is perfect — just a short walk from the beach with a beautiful ocean view. The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. I especially loved the onsen facilities; they were relaxing and well-maintained. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. Breakfast was delicious, with a good mix of Japanese and Western options. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Shirahama.”

„We had 3 nights stay fronting the sea. Walking about 10 minutes to train station along covered walkway. Besides, many restaurants to hunt for meals. The hotel provide simple breakfasts which come handy for our hike to Kumano Kodo trail and Nachisan waterfall. Pretty close a big free footbath and morning fish market not far from the hotel. Near the train station they are many buses to Nachisan waterfall and Shingu town. Quite a peaceful fishing town.”

„Grateful for the nice and helpful lady at the reception. Facilities are great (Onsen of course), a decent room to stay in and they even offer you amenities to enjoy tea there. Also, thankful to the hotel that offered me a ride to the train station so that I don't have to worry about getting on a bus with my heavy luggage. Posiłki również były bardzo dobre, przygotowywane na bazie lokalnych składników, świeże i pyszne. Obsługa jest zawsze na doskonałym, japońskim poziomie.”
