We stayed 5 days in Taichung for our pre-wedding shoot, and the location couldn’t be more convenient. Just a 10-minute walk to Wernar Wedding, and everything else we wanted to explore was nearby. Morning strolls to Third Market for breakfast, a sweet stop at Miyahara for ice cream, a fun baking session at the Sun Cake Museum, and night walks to Yizhong Market for food. Loved how walkable everything was! The only bad thing is that there is not enough space to open luggage.

While the hotel appears to have undergone some recent renovations, the overall condition still feels dated, and the quality of the updates is not up to standard. The children’s play area in the basement had a noticeable moldy odor, which was concerning. In addition, the pool facilities feel old and would benefit from a more thorough modernization.

I had a pleasant stay at Norway Forest Hotel in Taichung. The location is excellent, just a short walk from Taichung Train Station, which makes traveling around the city very convenient. There are also many restaurants and convenience stores nearby. The room was clean, modern, and comfortable. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was clean with good water pressure. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout the stay. The hotel also has a playground for children, which is great for families, as well as laundry and drying facilities, very convenient for longer stays. Overall, this hotel offers great value for money and I would recommend it to travelers visiting Taichung.

Pokój jest duży, czysty i znajduje się poza dzielnicą biznesową Ximending. Zarezerwowano nam pobyt w budynku wykonawczym na 2. piętrze, ale okno wychodziło na zewnętrzną ścianę innego budynku bardzo blisko nas. Nie było żadnego widoku i było bardzo przytłaczająco. Śniadanie w hotelu smakowało OK. Było na 12. piętrze hotelu z ładnym widokiem; ale obsługa kelnerska wymaga poprawy; na stole leżały nietknięte kawałki chleba i kawa. Kiedy miałem wyjść po inne jedzenie, kelner w ogóle nie zwrócił na to uwagi. W ciągu kilku sekund sprzątnął jedzenie, którego w ogóle nie zjadłem i położył je na stole, aby mogli z niego skorzystać inni goście. Było to trochę niegrzeczne wobec gości i uznałem, że to trochę marnotrawstwo jedzenia. Należy wzmocnić świadomość kelnerów w restauracji.

It’s a beautiful hotel with rich history. The room is very clean and the bed is comfortable. We tried the famous red bean rice cake and other dishes at one of the restaurants and they are delicious. We also did the one of the secret pathway tour, it’s fun and informative. We didn’t have chance to explore all the amenities of the hotel. The hotel is on a hilltop so it’s less walkable for some people. But it has free shuttle bus between hotel and nearby bus station. Also you don’t have to stay there to enjoy the food or the tour.

Overall, the hotel is good and service from the staff is great too. Breakfast Hotel has a good spread and enjoyed the food there. Hotel is well located near the Fengjia Night Market and you can go there in 3 min but is not very near the city centre and you may need to take a bus or walk there. .

Had an awesome time here. The room was super clean and comfy, and the staff were really friendly and helpful. Great location too—close to everything I needed. Breakfast was tasty, and the whole place had a nice, relaxed vibe. Would definitely stay here again!

Best hotel so far in Taiwan, very good location, nice people they are very friendly and helpful. Free breakfast is amazing! There are free washing machines and dryers which are all free of charge. The room is clean and comfortable, great price as well!

The room is quiet and clean with thong, shamboo and body wash still being offered to guest in the room.I had a high and good view from my room.There are 2 train stations nearby the hotel, local train (station behind the hotel) and banana line train about 7 minutesof walk. Also, a local market- Huaxi street tourist night market, We loved so much a local breakfast that served simple boiled meat and noodle soup by an hard-working lady, and a dessert of sticky rice ball covered with lots of blended sesames and some nuts( unsure) in evening. Lots of food that you will not worry being hungry. Self-laudry is about 10 mins walk.

Very close to BanQiao train station interchange, large shopping mall and underground shopping district with lots of shopping and nice foods. You can take the bus 1962 from Airport and get off at BanQiao stop without changing to MRT. Staffs were friendly and attentive, Lobby area is nice and tidy, rooms are quite large compare to other newer hotels in Taipei. It also have rooftop swimming pool with nice deco, unfortunately it was winter when we visited and it's too cold to dip into the pool. Love the vibe, location & room - strongly recommended anyone to stay here when are are visiting BanQiao district.
