Hostels w: Guangdong, China

Quite impressed with the stay this time. I’ve been travelling around China and stayed in a couple hostels, I feel that the amenities here are great, especially the design of the shower area, there’s a double door ‘system’ to prevent your dry clothes from getting wet, this is lacking in most of the hostels I’ve been. Regarding the rooms, light switchs and locks are all designed in silent mode to prevent disturbing the rest of people in the room. Mattress is soft, my back feels comfy lying on it! Slept soundly at night I love it! The general open space area is quite cozy, able to chill and or make friends with others. Coffee from the bar counter taste rich and aromatic. Area of improvement: Cleanliness is great in general, far better than most places, but could still be improved, example 2nd floor toilet can be cleaned in a more timely manner to avoid pungent smell.

Self check in via WeChat. There is nobody at the reception. Main door was left open almost all of the time. Nobody bothers closing it. Room was messy with clothes on racks all over and rubbish under beds. But at least the bed was tidied up with clean sheets. Only stay here is you want to explore Window of the World and Splendid China Folk Village nearby.

It's 5 nice place . Location is great. A few minutes walk from metro station. Electronics market is also 7-10 minutes of walk, parks, and everything is nearby. The capsule and reception area is really quiet. it's suitable to work. I mean super quiet. Staff is very helpful. But the only problem is they don't provide towels.

The hostel is close to the metro station. The welcome package was thoughtful. The bed was clean, spacious and comfortable. The common area was good, although some people seemed to claim their spot and were there all the time. There were plenty of cleaning staff. There was a dedicated makeup area which I was thankful for. I've stayed in many hostels recently, in which getting into the bathroom to take a shower has been near impossible due to people taking hours to do their make up in there! Someone used this area to conduct a series of TEFL lessons online. They were so loud. I could hear every word from my bed in the dorm. The soundproofing wasn't that great. The showers had a wet dry divide with a curtain separating the dry area from the shower. These didn't fully close. Unfortunately, the cleaning staff would fully open the curtain into the shower room which took away a sense of privacy from the corridor. What was the point of the curtains in the first place if they are just being kept open? The beds in the dorm had no hooks, so everything had to be sat on shelves. You are provided with a big, fluffy bath towel to use during the stay. However, there is no-where to put it after using it. There is a drying area for clothes on the balcony which was packed with clothes. I didn't see anyone hang their towel out there. Most people had it laying on their bed which is not hygienic. There are a lot of stairs to carry heavy luggage up! All in all, I enjoyed my stay. However, it was lacking some practical aspects that would have otherwise made it perfect.

This wasn’t my first time staying at Woping Hostel—and honestly, that says a lot. I’ve visited Guangzhou several times over the past few years, and Woping consistently remains one of my top choices. Every time I come back, the quality, cleanliness, and service are exactly as good as I remember. The consistency is impressive, especially for a hostel, because many places tend to decline over time. But Woping has managed to maintain the same warm atmosphere, the same high standards, and the same attention to detail that made me fall in love with it the first time. I’ve even recommended Woping Hostel to several of my friends who visited Guangzhou, and all of them ended up loving it too. Some were solo travelers, some came in groups—but every single one told me they had a comfortable and memorable stay. It feels good to recommend a place and know that people trust your taste. On this recent trip, I also noticed a small but thoughtful improvement: they now provide lotion as part of the shared amenities. It may seem like a tiny detail, but it shows how much the hostel listens to guests’ needs and continues to refine their service. Little touches like this make the stay even more comfortable, especially in colder seasons when the weather can dry out your skin.

I am always skeptical about hostels, and the good reviews about them, but this hostel really deserves to be aknowledged for lots of things. Every room has 24/7 great air conditioning, daily cleaning of rooms, toilets, beds and hallways. Toilets and showers are well equipped (hot water, toilet paper, etc). Location is amazing, next to malls, shops, 200 meter from hongshan metro station. The host is extermely generous and helpful on my first day, he came all the way to the street to pick me up and show me the way, and also showed me a nearby muslim restaurant. I spent 6 days in this hostel, in a quadruple room, with 3 chinese guys who were absolutely calm and respectful (no noise, no trash, no smoking), so if you are a foreigner, and just looking for foreigner dorms, trust me chinese people are better roomates (speaking from experience). finally i want to thank the host, my chinese roomates and the cleaning staff, it was a great experience

Very friendly staff and owners, fairly close to the border, good food, hot showers and laundry - pretty much what you need as a traveller. No complaints at all, would stay again

Zarezerwowałem pokój dwuosobowy z prywatną toaletą i łazienką, a klimatyzacja była zimna. Tym razem było to dobre doświadczenie. Proszę przyjść następnym razem, jeśli będziesz mieć szansę. Lokalizacja: W pobliżu zachodniego wejścia, 400 metrów i 6 minut spacerem. Lokalizacja jest dogodna do wzięcia taksówki, ponieważ znajduje się na poboczu drogi i jest łatwa do znalezienia. W pobliżu jest wiele miejsc do jedzenia. W pobliżu lubię pieczony ryż z kaczki i pieczony ryż z gęsiny👍 Higiena: W holu jest wyciek. W holu powinna znajdować się palarnia, ale nie jest ona zamknięta, więc przechodząc obok można poczuć silny zapach dymu. Osobom, które nie palą, będzie ciężko😫, bo jest obok windy i trzeba to wąchać, czekając na windę. Usługa: Jeśli masz pytania, znajdziesz odpowiedzi i rozwiązania👍 Udogodnienia: Jest tylko jedna winda, więc trzeba chwilę poczekać. Ponieważ restauracja i lobby są wspólne, goście muszą zweryfikować swoją kartę pokoju przed wejściem do strefy aktywności, co zapewnia bezpieczeństwo.

My stay was mostly positive. The location was excellent— very close to the subway station with lots of great food options nearby. The staff were really nice and helpful, and the beds were clean. I even ordered a massage they recommended. However, there were a few significant downsides: the room was quite small (consider this if you have a big suitcase), the bathroom wasn't very clean, and I was bitten by mosquitoes during the night (I saw blood on my sheets in the morning). So, it's a mixed experience. Overall, you get what you pay for.

This hostel is really amazing, it's a place like home. It's well maintained and the staff are kind, and the neighborhood is convenient.
