„A fantastic place to stay! Warm, modern and welcoming. All The staff are lovely and friendly. Our private en suite room and bathroom was spacious, clean and tidy, the reception area modern and welcoming too. Car parking available if you need it. The staff even made us a pizza at 11pm as we arrived back tired, wet and cold from being at the match. The best bit was the breakfast, it was amazing and in a separate dinjng area. Full choice of traditional hot English breakfast or continental. Fresh coffee and tea and juices too.”

„Jai été accueilli par James et Tim, deux super personnes qui malgré mon anglais bancale, ont su me mettre à l'aise et être à l'écoute. Proche d’Anfield stadium je recommande vraiment ce spot pour les amateurs de foot. Un immense merci à l'équipe de m'avoir accueilli et aidé. Je recommande !!!”

„I arrived late in the middle of the night from the Liverpool airport and couldn't check-in until around 7-7:30 a.m. I was mostly grateful to just have a place to lay my head down and catch up on some much needed sleep. Thankfully, the family that runs the hostel was very friendly and supportive when I came in. Everyone at the hostel was very nice and I felt ”at home” right away. I appreciated that. I certainly enjoy the feeling of being ”welcomed” rather than feeling uneasy and watched which can happen in many other cities and countries. Like others have mentioned, the overall building could use some renovations but it is sufficient enough for one or two nights. The location is ideal. If you are looking to get a quick glance or preview of the center of the city, it is very convenient to walk to. I was glad to have access to most of the main sites as well as the waterfront (near the Tate and Liverpool Museum) by foot without having to get on a bus.”

PPreetz69Great hostel, it’s clean and the rooms are well kept. The beds are amazingly comfortable with a small shelf to keep your phone and watch to charge while you sleep. The vibe is great and it’s very vintage style. Location is amazing. Easy to all public transport, so many shops to eat or get groceries from. Bars and pubs are at your fingertips. The only downside to this hostel is its in room bathroom. Unfortunately this hostel fails majorly on this. I was in an 8 bed dorm, and there was 1 toilet and 2 showers. (Luckily there was only 3 people in my room for my 2 nights) so we could manage. BUT the showers are absolutely awful it has no independent tap for hot or cold water, it has a push button for water and the push button only lasts 3 seconds (SO GUESS WHAT YOU HAVE TO HOLD THE BUTTON IN CONSTANTLY TO SHOWER) so you have one hand to shower with if you want constant water on you, BUT guess what…. The shower hot water is non existent the hot water is hot like a swimming pool on a hot summers day or luke warm at the best. So if you think you going to have a good shower after a long day of exploring or you get filthy from a night out, surprise you going to have the most awful shower. So you gotta pick awful shower for a comfy bed and clean room or stay somewhere else. If I visit Liverpool again I’d skip this hostel only for the fact that I like a nice hot shower at the end of the day to unwind with before going to bed.

VVadim ZahharovPlace was exactly as advertised. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Definitely worth staying if your trip is short. As for downsides, hostel has limited number of bathrooms and showers - this can cause issues if you have to leave quickly. The ventilation in rooms is basically non-existent, and rooms house up to 10 people, so I’ll leave the air quality to your imagination. Sound isolation is not great, so if somebody has a good time in the kitchen you’ll going to hear that. Bring earplugs if you are light sleeper. Cleanliness is subjective, I’m not that picky, but having crumbs in my bed was disconcerting. Some sinks have filters with hair in them. Haven’t seen anything that would be actually harmful like mold or hygiene products, so that is good. Location is good. Liverpool is not that big and you’ll get to city centre in under an hour even with most leisurely pace. Do visit the cathedral on your way there. I haven’t seen any shops in immediate vicinity though, but I didn’t need them, so maybe you find some if you look. Bus stop for airport is fairly close, so that is a plus as well. Overall, this is a hostel. You can sleep there, store your stuff and maybe have a chat with interesting people. Price is fair for experience.

SSpenceryoujiThe room is quite big, the hotel decoration is very british, the facilities are very old, the sprinkler is slow, and the sprinkler chain in my room is rotten. This hotel is in the village, quite far from the city center, and it takes about 25 minutes to take a taxi to the center of Liverpool. The room facilities are old, the front desk is strong, the kitchen and restaurant waiter, breakfast must go down half an hour in advance or it will take a long time to eat. Overall, it is barely possible.

AAlejandro MI booked this hostel because of its price and the central location, without a lot of expectations. I didn't realize however that it was located in the busiest and loudest night light street out Liverpool, so this is something that travelers should be aware of. Nonetheless, the rooms have a decent sound isolation and I believe the staff will provide you ear plugs if you request it. Overall, a generic hostel where you just need to be aware of its busy location.
