Its a small hostel with limited room facilities, tiny toilet, broken lift, and horrible shower. Room isn’t really clean, there are couple of students also live there and said they haven’t clean since they move there like 3 days earlier before me. So in total 5 days weren’t be cleaned. Staff is nice tho and central, close to station, 9 minutes walk. Basically rotterdam is a walkable city . I got room with view to the main street which beautiful but very loud.

Originally this was quite good. The breakfast was rich and allowed to take out. It was worth the money, but the room was facing the street and the traffic was very noisy. The most unbearable thing was the shower. The cubicle was too small to turn around. Photos The one above is also worthy of a shower? ! GGeiorgiestravelsThe location is convenient. I arrived by bicycle and was able to secure my bicycle the the racks in the square in front of the hotel. It is a 10-15 walk to central station, cube house, Oude Haven and other tourist sites. There is shopping precinct and major supermarket 10 min walk away. I went to a concert at de Doelen which was next to central station so easy to get to. I recommend doing to 15 min walk to the waterfront and getting the water taxi from Erasmusbrug as a cheap way to do a river cruise … the water taxi even goes all the way to Kinderdjik , the famous windmill area.
I stayed in the triple female only room. The was one other roommate with whom I had no problems. The room felt spacious. Each bed had its own light and charging point. There were no curtains though the board with the lamp and charging point acted as a privacy shield. Bedding is laid out on the bed and you make the bed yourself. Comfy bed. There were several showers and toilets located in the corridor as well as separate sinks. The shower had hot water …. Is the type you press the button to 30 seconds of water then press again which helps conserve water. Bring your own towel or hire one.
Rooms have keycard access. You need your own padlock for the locker in the room. The locker will not fit a big suitcase though my carryon sized luggage fitted ok. I was on the top floor in an annex type area where it was very quiet. I had no issues with cleanliness though I did notice an empty drinks container in the toilet for a couple of days.
There is a small area near reception with seating and small tables where it is possible to sit and eat your own food. There is a small kitchenette area with one fridge, kettle, microwave ,air fryer and a hot plate. Using the hotplate for foods such as pasta, rice, boiling eggs is permitted but not frying nor cooking smelly foods. It is very helpful to be able to use these resources for quick food prep, though keep in mind that you may need to wait at meal times and utensils are limited. There appeared to be some people living there who had their own cooking utensils.
Like many places in the Netherlands there is a steep staircase to get in, so even though there is a lift to get to the different floors, the first staircase will be a hurdle for those with a large suitcase.
Reception staff were friendly and helpful. I would stay again.

The room had a soothing, inviting atmosphere that made it easy to settle in right away, and everything was kept spotless throughout the stay. The bed was warm and comfortable, the lighting gentle, and the entire space felt thoughtfully arranged to make resting feel natural. Every feature in the room worked perfectly, with no little issues to get in the way, which added an extra layer of ease to the stay.
The staff carried themselves with a calm professionalism, always available, always respectful, and never intrusive. They handled questions, requests, and small details with a quiet confidence that made every interaction smooth. Their consistency gave the whole stay a sense of steady reliability.
From check-in to check-out, the service flowed without any delays or confusion. Even minor needs were addressed quickly and with care, often before I had to think twice about them. The overall atmosphere of the place brought a sense of comfort that built up over time, turning the stay into something genuinely relaxing and satisfying.
In the end, it felt like the kind of place where everything simply worked the way it should, no stress, no friction, just comfort handled with intention. A stay that was not only pleasant but genuinely memorable, and one I’d easily call a perfect experience.
