Travelled from Brisbane to stay here for a friends wedding on the weekend, I’m really loving this apartment so much, I don’t want to leave! The customer service from Sharon & Her Husband seriously go above and beyond. They are so accommodating, so friendly, easy to get along with, just really down to earth people. The room is spectacular, very clean, comfy beds, I especially loved the detailed features they put in the rooms, like Austar & Night Lights. I cannot flaw this apartment and stay at all. Highly recommend, will definitely be coming back. Thanks guys!

We stayed in a family room 2 single and 1 queen bed. Great room upstairs with a balcony. Zane in the reception area provided us with a fantastic last minute booking and a smooth check in after a hectic trip from Brisbane. We ordered from the breakfast menu and the food and staff were great. The pool area was very clean and well maintained, it was lovely spending the afternoon there. A large umbrella table provided shade on a hot day. Thank you Zane for providing us with customer service ( helping with my internet connection ) we will be booking again in 2021.Kind Regards The Lancaster Family :)

Really good little hotel. Clean and for the cost of the room, very good. Close to good pubs and pizza shop which was handy for a one night stay. I believe the new manager has taken the place by the scruff of the neck and tidied it right up as I see some of the other reviews were not great. The new manager has done great here and it would seem it's improved quite a lot since she came on board. So for the negative reviews, they were probably warranted at the time, but as of June 2023, really good. I would definitely stay again.

Been trying to think about the positives so I can write a balanced review… but other than having an undercover park right out the front, I can’t think of any others. Upon arrival the pool gate is locked and you need to ask reception for access key. Not that you want to, it’s not clean and is green. It’s not like the pictures. The room was spacious, AC very noisy and fridge barely cools. I had a frozen meal that defrosted in the time between arrival and dinner time. Had no choice but to eat it and not get anything else to put in the fridge. Tricky given I stayed a week. Not that food prep was an option given there are no plates or cutlery in the rooms. The woman at reception, I’m assuming is the owner is quite unfriendly and untruthful. During my stay there was a storm that cut the power and I couldn’t use the kettle or AC etc in my room where other rooms had power restored. She said it was the whole of Bundaberg - it wasn’t, it was just her motel. I asked for a different room due to having no power and I was fed another lie, she said they were fully booked - they had many rooms free on the booking sites… I have other reasons I would never recommend staying here but I think there is enough here for you.

The Apartments here are double story, with a garage. they are spacious, modern and have a full kitchen with a full-size fridge. Each apartment has its own washer and dryer which is a huge positive for a worker such as myself. The staff were very friendly, and the premises were cleaned perfectly. If I were to nit pick, and I mean that in the best way, it would be that there are some wear and tear marks on the walls and staircase in the high trafficked areas of the apartment. The pricing was amazing for the product. It is pretty much opposite Sugarland shopping centre, and whilst outside of the main body of the town, it is still conveniently located within walking distance to major and minor food outlets, cinemas and grocery stores. Being out of town a couple of kilometres, it made the traffic noise basically undetectable. I thank the staff for their concern when I took ill and went to the hospital overnight, and they went out of the way to assist me with any queries I had. Well done.

Cons- the BBQ was grubby, room servicing was nonexistent, the mirror was dirty, I could write my name in the dust on the toilet roll holder, we ran out of toilet paper and only found a spare roll (after much searching) in the cupboard with the plates and cutlery. The toilet cistern dripped and randomly it’s tap let out a high pitched whine- the only solution was shutting off the water overnight. FYI this was room 3. In spite of the cons, which were minor if annoying, the motel was good value and I’d stay again. I especially appreciated the plates and cutlery so we could get takeaway from Pows Thai a few minutes walk away. It’s also close to the railway station and there’s a bottle shop a few doors away.

Well appointed and clean room in lovely hotel on the Burnett River. Bed was very comfortable. Restaurant wasn’t open due to renovations but we went across the road to a great hotel for dinner. Staff were absolutely lovely, friendly and helpful. Under cover parking which was fantastic as we were there when 160mm of rain fell overnight, but it was a really quiet room other than the rain!

I took a chance in this Motel , arriving tired and feeling quite grateful to find a room , the last one , I was told. $135. The nicer , newer , smarter looking motels on the strip all had the NO VACANCY signs out . It was 3 pm. The lady in the office was kind enough , telling me it was the last room , the only room with a bath , as if this might be a special feature I might enjoy. The room was accessible from an area where the managers hung out and had a smoking area for themselves , something that proved rather unpleasant for me as their smoke wafted through the cracks in the door to my room . Their elderly poodle was a random barker , no fault of the doggie , but annoying if you want to put your head down. As you enter the room , The grubby pink sofa was an eye catcher for all the wrong reasons , there was no milk in the fridge for a cuppa , but supplied when asked for in the morning??? The toilet cistern made a high pitched agonising noise all night as it constantly refilled itself , wasting water and being annoying with the sound. The bathroom was straight out of 1962 with rusty drain vents and all , someone had added a security feature to the window by jamming a black plastic coat hanger in it , preventing it from opening ??? This bathroom was a demolition dream to me. The bed was king size , squishy soft , no headboard , the sheets were clean , there was a group of two reading lamps unglamorously stuck on the wall in the worst position , just where my pillows should be , the one lamp that worked did the job . In summary , I wanted to stay somewhere three nights , but could not wait to get out of the smelly overpriced dysfunctional room to find a better place . It might have been ok for $80 a night but at $135 it was a rip off. Unfortunately the following night I had a similar experience in a different motel, I will not be returning to the Riviera Motel. This motel needs a total refurb, it is grubby , tired, old and very out of date . Not enough attention paid to maintenance issues.

COCKROACHES!!! I was woken up at 1:30am with a cockroach crawling across my pillow and onto my face. Disgusting! 30 mins later another one appeared. I was using my shoe to kill them. (See pics attached) I decided to leave the light on to see if that made a difference. It did slow them down for a while but at 4:30am another one ran across the bed. I decided to sleep in my car and left in the morning, never to return. The motel looks ok on the outside, BUT remember, once the light goes out, the cockroaches WILL come out. Currently doing a road trip around austrlia and came across this motel we didn't have a booking but the manager was happy to go above and beyond. Room was clean, staff were friendly and price was cheap we were only meant to stay for the night but ended up staying for 2 because of how much we enjoyed staying here. 100% would recommend and will be back!

The hotel's swimming pool is good. It's open until nine o'clock in the evening. It's a favorite of children. You can walk to the beach in five minutes along the back door of the hotel. The sand is fine and the scenery is beautiful. The wind and waves are strong. It's not suitable for swimming. It's nice to walk along the coast.

COCKROACHES!!! I was woken up at 1:30am with a cockroach crawling across my pillow and onto my face. Disgusting! 30 mins later another one appeared. I was using my shoe to kill them. (See pics attached) I decided to leave the light on to see if that made a difference. It did slow them down for a while but at 4:30am another one ran across the bed. I decided to sleep in my car and left in the morning, never to return. The motel looks ok on the outside, BUT remember, once the light goes out, the cockroaches WILL come out. Advice: Just stay somewhere else if your not a fan of cockroaches. Plenty of other motel choices In Bundaberg

Pros - good size room with a small table and 2 chairs, a microwave, plates and cutlery, a very pleasant pool area with a BBQ for all to use, comfy bed. Cons- the BBQ was grubby, room servicing was nonexistent, the mirror was dirty, I could write my name in the dust on the toilet roll holder, we ran out of toilet paper and only found a spare roll (after much searching) in the cupboard with the plates and cutlery. The toilet cistern dripped and randomly it’s tap let out a high pitched whine- the only solution was shutting off the water overnight. FYI this was room 3. In spite of the cons, which were minor if annoying, the motel was good value and I’d stay again. I especially appreciated the plates and cutlery so we could get takeaway from Pows Thai a few minutes walk away. It’s also close to the railway station and there’s a bottle shop a few doors away.

We stayed in a family room 2 single and 1 queen bed. Great room upstairs with a balcony. Zane in the reception area provided us with a fantastic last minute booking and a smooth check in after a hectic trip from Brisbane. We ordered from the breakfast menu and the food and staff were great. The pool area was very clean and well maintained, it was lovely spending the afternoon there. A large umbrella table provided shade on a hot day. Thank you Zane for providing us with customer service ( helping with my internet connection ) we will be booking again in 2021.Kind Regards The Lancaster Family :)
