Aberystwyth Park Lodge Hotel

We just went to the restaurant on the 18th June to celebrate my Husband's 40th Birthday. The restaurant was lovely and the food was lovely. I order a cake for him and they aloud this and brought it over to the table for us when we was ready. The staff could of been more welcoming by coming over to the table and asking if everything is OK.

Upon checking in - and paying 84 gbp each person for two rooms for one night - we were curtly informed that breakfast was not included. We said nothing. Then we got a call that she had made a mistake and that breakfast was in fact included. The next morning, one in our party proceeded to the breakfast to be told that no, breakfast was not included and she would have to pay. We went again to reception and the person on duty looked at her computer and said - well you only paid 69gbp so breakfast is not included. Wot? Fortunately we had our receipts from the night before - and she said she would investigate/ to give her credit, we thereafter had breakfast in peace…. As she immediately called the restaurant. Basic food (pizza) ok; otherwise, we did not eat what we had ordered. Don’t think I can recommend this hotel. Am sorry.

My room was spacious and well equipped. The bed was really comfortable. I had the best two nights of sleep I've had in ages. The staff are courteous and nothing is too much trouble. The breakfast was delicious, again, nothing too much trouble for the staff to adapt the breakfast for you. The catering is very good. We were on a training weekend. The room we held the training in was spacious and had a wonderful view of the local countryside. Buffet lunch was included. A lovely choice of hot and cold items. We had our evening meals there too. Most of us experienced food envy as every meal that came out looked tasty and well presented. I am very impressed with this hotel and will stay again. Well done to the proprietors of this hotel. It's a well run ship.

I stayed one night in a modern, comfortable and large bedroom on the first floor which could be accessed via stairs or small lift. The room was facing the road and was quiet with excellent amenities - large king size bed, tea/coffee making facilities, fan if needed, ironing board and iron, hairdryer, television, ample sockets including USB. The bathroom was well equipped with plenty of fluffy towels and included a large power shower cubicle. The hotel is located on a roundabout with easy access into Aber itself - 20 minute walk on the level or by catching a nearby bus. Morrisons, Next, Costa and McDonald's are a five minute walk away. The car park is excellent with plenty of spaces and six Tesla chargers if required. I ate in the restaurant in the evening and the staff were friendly and helpful, The food which was served quickly was very tasty and hot. Breakfast the next morning was a mixture of buffet and table service. Again the food was very enjoyable. If you book the hotel through its own website breakfast will be included in the price and you can choose your room and its location. Cara on Reception was very friendly and helpful. I look forward to my next stay in Llanbadarn. Diolch yn fawr.

Lovely reception,shame about the restaurant. Firstly id like to say that the young waitress are miserable.No eye contact,no conversations The waitress was totally unsociable and didnt give me a good experience.We didnt even get a hello or lead to our table. When the young girl came to take our order she didnt even make eye contact.The food came, there was a long black hair in my daughters pizza...and my lasagne was cold in the middle.I did raise this to the friendly waitress,who was more than helpful and acted on this immediately.We had to wait 30 minutes for a replacement. Id also like to say that i could here constant swearing and a woman screaming from the kitchen.Not something you'd expect from a posh looking hotel.

High standard of linen and furnishings. Sparklingly clean. Large shower cubicle. Great to have free parking in Aberystwyth. Had a double with a single bed if needed. Didn't need to eat on site so can't review the quality of meals. Will definitely stay again.

When we arrived staff were welcoming and friendly, room was clean and very comfortable, quite spacious too. On our first night we ate in the restaurant at the hotel and were very impressed with the quality and taste of our meals, they were very reasonably sized as well. We enjoyed the food so much we also ate there on the second night. We had breakfast in the restaurant, again good quality and great tasting food. Car parking was easy and if needed McDonalds, Next (Costa inside) and Morrisons are easy walking distance. Despite the location right next to a roundabout, didn't really notice traffic noise in the evening when going to sleep. Would definitely recommend to others and would stay here again if in need of a hotel in the area.

AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING. My family member is very fussy and they achieved what she wanted. A lasagne. Such a clean place and the worker we had was lush i think her name was Rebecca she deserves a bloody raise. Next time i go i hope to see her being the manager.

We often stay at the hotel and find it a welcoming break and enjoy the food in the restaurant. On our most recent visit I took note of the new vegan and allergies menu as well as the standard menu. I can recommend the delicious chickpea and pumpkin seed tagine as a vegan dish. From the main menu the fish cakes florentine were delicious. I cannot imagine that the new menu does not cater for every taste now.
