Good service and great atmosphere downstairs. Choice of local places for breakfast and fun community atmosphere. The staff member who checked me in was professional and helpful.

Nice place to spend a night, shared bathrooms are cleaned and staff is friendly. We stayed during the week for only one night so we didn't have any issues with the noise from the pub downstairs :) it was actually a quiet night :)

Very well priced. Shared bathrooms were decent enough. Bed was comfortable. Overall good stay.

Was exactly what you would expect it to be for a pub based hotel ... room was small but adequate for what I needed. Shower and toilet was sperate and shared, annoying but fine for the price. It felt clean and safe. Generally speaking it was pretty good value.

2 years ago I ate at the Nags Head and was very disappointed. Back in Newcastle again and talked into another dining experience at the Nags Head. Once again very sad meal. Ordered a plain chicken Schnitzel which was OK but the chips were a disaster. Not recommended as a dining experience.
