Hovima Jardin Caleta

We absolutely loved our holiday in Tenerife. Staff in Hovima hotel were excellent, very friendly, helpful. Hotel was clean, pool area too. Food was ok. We liked the location, it was quite but close enough to nice beaches but a bit far from busy night life. There is a bus stop nearby and its very cheap to go to Las Americas or Adeje, easy to walk there too.

This hotel was perfectly adequate for our requirements. We knew it was a bit further away from the action but it was lot cheaper than some in Adeje and we were happy with what we had. The rooms were dated but clean. The best thing about the hotel for us was the rooftop jacuzzi, this area is adults only and it was perfect for us (older teenagers with us) as we weren’t keen on the pool area being enclosed and too many little kids around The views from the rooftop were spectacular. It is a bit more modern too so was lovely area to sit and soak up the sun. We did go out a lot and used the buses daily to get to the nicer beaches in Adeje and also at night to get to playa de las Americas and also for the waterpark You buy the bus card from the nearby supermarket under the hotel and top it up in the shop too. You just tap on and off the bus everytime like the London Underground and it will take the money off the card Brilliant service and so easy to use We really got to get out the hotel a lot by doing this so used the hotel as a base but for what we paid we were more then happy The food was average but good enough and no complaints Would consider staying again if the hotel was updated The little beach to the right of the hotel in Caleta was lovely with all the rocks to sunbathe on and the fish restaurants were superb. Gorgeous at night and not the Tenerife that you see the other way towards playa, was a delight going down there for the first time. Definitely a must to see and check out the restaurants down there

Got put up here with east jet as our flight got cancelled the man at the front desk was unbelievably rude and snide.the room was something from the 80s stayed for breakfast it was foul. I couldn’t have stayed longer than 1 night here. Would not recommend to anyone

Arrived at the hotel late at night,was a little bit dubious having read some reviews.However was met by a very welcoming, helpful man on reception who checked us in promptly.We were staying in a superior apar**ent with side sea view. The room was spacious,well equipped and yes they are little dated but very clean and comfortable with eveything you need.The beds were one of the best we have slept in. We had a problem with our aircon and within an hour of reporting to reception it was fixed. The facilities in the hotel,swimming pool,sunbeds,public areas were very clean and tidy and all the staff were very friendly. The resturant set up was great,on entering you collect your cutlery find a table and the waiters come round for your drinks order (we were half board). The breakfasts were good,plenty of choice and if you dont like the tea take your own with you! Evening meal was a similar experience ok food not that great but always something available to eat. The location of the hotel was great,quiet location,stunning views and you must go onto the roof terrace and see the spectacular sunsets! I would certainly return again. This was not our original choice of hotel,but due to renovation work in our original hotel,Jet 2 moved us to the Jardin Caleta.Good move. Thank you to all the hard working staff who go about there tasks to make this a great stay for anyone.

Arrived late in the evening and we had food and water waiting for us in the fridge. Our apar**ent was a superior one which was so spacious and absolutely immaculate. Cleaners in almost every day and I could fault nothing with cleanliness (I'm quite fussy and check mattresses etc and they looked brand new) we had a gorgeous big balcony with stunning sea views. The breakfast had a varied selection but to be honest we didn't always get up for it. The evening meals were really good. We went out a couple of nights and had planned to go out more but didn't as we enjoyed hotel food. There was always a good selection of starters and breads, hot food was always replenished even when we arrived at 8.30pm. There was a bbq one night too which was great. The pool area was so clean and had a pool bar. We had no problems getting a lounger no matter what time of the day. Entertainment at night was always good but wasn't really a lively hotel and bar was very quiet in the evening when the entertainment finished. Short walk to the right to la Caleta which was just beautiful with restaurants and nice cocktail places. We also got a bus to busier area of adeje and was only 3 euros for both of us. There is a beach basically across the road but we walked a bit further to a lovely sandy beach called El Duque. Overall it was a perfect and relaxing holiday as a couple and I would definitely return to this hotel. The staff were all very friendly Sebastian and Marc in particular and we always felt very welcome and looked after. Can't wait to go back.

Very good value for money. This was our second stay as we liked its quiet and convenient location. The staff are lovely and helpful and the room was very clean. Our balcony had a good view over the sea front. Nice pool too. Overall, good selection of dishes.

Firstly, the entire place was impeccably clean, rooms, bar, public areas. A credit to the staff. Standard rooms again VERY clean but in desperate need of refurnishing. Staff friendly no problems there. The surrounding area very quiet only a few bars within walking distance. The hotel bar was very reasonably priced. Please note the bar is cashless room number or credit card. The only ****** we had was the food. All well cooked and presented but choices limited. Felt like the kitchens were run to a very tight budget. Note to hotel management. PLEASE STOP using reformed bacon, it’s absolutely vile.

This hotel exceeded expectations. I went there on a family holiday and was pleasantly surprised. The restaurant and food was very reasonable, there was evening entertainment every night in some form or another and the rooms were pretty spacious. The view from our room was stunning, overlooking the sea, and our room was also near to the pool. The pool was quite large and a nice area to be in. One nice touch was the hot tub on the roof in the adults-only zone which I visited daily. The hotel is also next to some small shops and very close to a couple of nice beaches. The only problem was perhaps the curtains in the lounge area let in a lot of light at night and there aren't lots of big shops nearby. Overall a very pleasant stay for 10 days.

La Caleta is an old fishing village very quiet with a selection of Lovely restaurants. The Hovima Jardin hotel was really nice for a low rated 3 star. Staff were lovely. Unfortunately the Entertainment Very Poor, FOOD was the main issue it was Absolutely "Dire". Selection & quality very poor. After complaining to the Receptionist, He was quite dismissive. We booked via Tui and find that their standards have really dropped, there was No Rep. or any Contact to liaise with. A lot of the guests chose to eat out, thankfully at the lovely Restaurants that La Caleta has on offer. The Hotel hosts Teams of Athletes from various countries as there is a Training Complex 1/2 a mile away, not that this affected us, but it is something that needs to be borne in mind as it gets very busy on meal times.
