Sunrise Village Hotel - All Inclusive

Travelled here 10-15 th may . Hotel is spotless , room spacious ( stayed 1 bed app number 206) Pool area is spotlessly clean with plenty of room & sun beds . Pool bar open 10-6 with delicious cocktail & warm snacks , frozen cocktails & icecream, bartender was very polite & friendly Plenty of choice at meal time - themed nights Staff are fabulous Had late flight home allowed to use facilities after check out & offered clean towels for shower room before departure Short was down to main road with bars & shops (5mins) Beach another 2 mins behind main road Would definitely recommend for a relaxing break with fantastic staff .

Just returned from the Sunrise Village. We were party of 3 friends staying in a maisonette. The maisonette was lovely and spacious and very clean. Food at the Sunrise was very good and replenished quickly when a tray was empty. The bbq food on Wednesday evening for the Greek night was lovely. The pool area is very clean and plenty of sunbeds. The pool bar serves a good choice of drinks and the guy working there is very nice and polite (sorry but we didn’t get his name). The hotel is in a great quiet location, yet only 5-10 min walk down to the Main Street. Would definitely recommend the Sunrise Village.

This hotel is a good 3 star family run hotel. The location is good but note there is a little walk down to the main high street and beach’s. Literally turn left from hotel and left again down the hill. We had a studio room,newly renovated very clean and had a fridge which was great. Bathroom was clean,water pressure brilliant although I didn’t like having to climb in the bath with no support handles. Free WiFi fantastic Pool towels €10 deposit and €2 to change towels. All rooms looked out onto pool and garden. Staff were lovely and worked hard A couple of points we thought the food could have been hotter. The drinks selection was poor and warm,the wine was undrinkable and not to mention you had to have reusable plastic cups after 9pm! There is no entertainment where you eat your dinner is where you stay for drinks in the evening. There are two local shops to the left which sell drinks snacks etc.

We've just returned from a week at Sunrise Village as a family of 5 (2 adults and kids aged 4, 9 and 12). It was our first holiday abroad for around 8 years and our first all-inclusive, so don't have any recent comparisons to be able to make. But we really enjoyed our week at the hotel. We stayed in a maisonette room with an internal staircase. The room had a queen size bed upstairs and two sofa beds downstairs, plus an extra folding bed for our 4 year old. There were bathrooms on each floor and a little kitchenette with sink, hob and fridge. It was nice having a separate sleeping area from the kids, and the room was relatively modern in general. The only slight negatives were that the mattress on the queen size bed wasn't the best, and the bathrooms were quite dated and could do with being refurbished (over bath shower with shower curtain, toilets took a long time to refill after flushing, etc.). But everything was clean and a cleaner arrived most days to change the sheets and towels. The food was good - despite only being a fairly small hotel there was a good choice of options for all meals. The usual hot and cold buffet options were available alongside some Greek speciality dishes which were all tasty. Fresh bread was always available, and there was also a kids section which always had chips, pizza, hot dogs, burgers etc. All of us in our family of 5 enjoyed the food and found plenty to eat at every mealtime (we ate far too much!). During the day there is a snack bar down by the pool where you can help yourself to snacks like pre-made Greek salad, fruit, pizza, cake, pastries, etc. There are also slushies and ice cream that you can request from the staff member on duty, alongside usual soft and alcoholic drinks. To be honest we didn't ever feel the need to snack much between meals but it was good to have the option, and the slushies went down well with the kids! I was slightly worried before arriving that the pool seemed fairly small for the number of guests, but as we visited right at the end of the season this wasn't a problem. There was plenty of room for everyone and you help yourself to the stacked up loungers, meaning no towels left out in the morning to reserve a space. The pool is only in compete sun for part of the day, but this does have the benefit of ensuring there is always a shady side of the pool to sit around as well as a sunny side for sunbathing. There is a small kids section at the end, and the shallow end of the main pool is around 1.2m deep, so my 9 year old could only just stand with his feet on the bottom. Overall the pool was nice, it was pretty cold as you'd expect in October but very clean, and nice to be able to actually get some lengths in. There were also various balls and noodles permanently left in the pool that anyone could use. I'd seen previous reviews mentioning a lady doing some games in the pool (e.g. water polo) but this was not the case when we visited, so presumably is only offered in peak se

We came to the Sunrise in July with a large group of family to attend a wedding in the local area. We honestly had the best stay. The hotel is clean, the beds are comfortable, the staff are super friendly and the food was amazing. We would definitely return. Thank you Sunrise for a brilliant holiday 😊

Wonderful hotel, brilliant staff, very clean, good beds, great food with all our allergies catered for,clean pool, good location only 10 mins from beach and 20 from mai shopping area.would totally recommend this hotel . It is rated a 3 star but should be a 4+ at least.we will be returning in 2024.

We stayed here for a week and it was excellent, rooms where cleaned every day. Location for me was a little bit of the track but that’s my fault. I have no complaint about this hotel. Rooms where spacious. All in all we all had a good time here. Would definitely recommend.

Myself, my husband and our 3 children (aged 6, 4 and just turned 1) arrived here on 28th July and stayed for 3 weeks. We loved exploring the Island and used the hotel as a base from which to do this. In the first week we explored Chania and did some self guided day trips from there, using our rental car. In our second week we travelled East (leaving the majority of our luggage at our 2 bed apartment at Sunrise Village) stopping in Rethymno, Heraklion, and Agios Nikolaos. We then did day trips to Elounda, Spinalonga Island and Hersonissos from there, before heading back to Chania for a final week of relaxation at the hotel; with some visits to the local beach and Waterpark thrown in! Our 2 bedroom duplex apartment (room 115) was positioned in a quiet part of the small complex; midway between the swimming pool at one end and the restaurant and reception at the other end. We were very pleased with the position of our room after specifically requesting a quiet room via the TUI app, prior to departure. The complimentary water, snacks, kids juice cartons and bottle of wine on arrival to our room were a wonderful touch and much appreciated after a long day of travelling. The duplex apartment was spotlessly clean, had a modern feel and was very functional. It also felt spacious; even as a family of 5 with a large travel cot upstairs (supplied by the hotel) and a highchair downstairs (supplied by the hotel). In hindsight, we may have been better placed to have booked a ground floor 2 bed apartment because my 1 year old was intent to trying to kill himself on the stairs! But it would not have been anywhere near as quiet or private, as those apartments are directly in front of the pool. The food at the hotel was fantastic; plenty of choice and variety, a number of themed nights for dinner (Mexican, sushi, Cretan, BBQ, Italian etc) and a number of staples that were available every day/evening such as chips, pizza, burgers, hotdogs, salad, breads olives etc. We aren’t usually big all inclusive fans but a combination of a small hotel, plenty of variety and good quality food meant that we didn’t get bored. For a few of our day trips we took advantage of the hotels free packed lunch service- a lovely touch and gratefully received! But the biggest stand out feature of this place for us were the incredible staff! Everyone was so cheerful, welcoming, hardworking and conscientious! Our cleaner was fantastic at her job and wonderful with our children. Babis and Christina at the pool bar were always so friendly and attentive. A real credit to the hotel! And all of the restaurant staff were so efficient and hard working. You’d be hard pushed to find another hotel (especially an all inclusive) with such great staff. They were a very well oiled machine; working perfectly together to credit a wonderful holiday experience for their guests. We would recommend this place without hesitation!
