Room was clean but but I didn’t like the bed. The top was sinking so t was kind of uncomfortable.

Check in was great the lady up front was super nice very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and nice the best part is finding chocolate on the bed my only complaint was the visitor policy it was weird they won't let you have company after 10 o clock at night

I needed an economical solution for a business trip. This was great! They are right next to a 24 hour restaurant that gives a small discount if you mention you are staying there. Very clean room. Huge bathroom; plenty of towels. Free WIFI.

The property in itself wasn't so bad, they where accommodating to us and out of our way as we like it. We saw reviews about the area before checking in and it did worry me a bit, but the parking lot area was fenced off and there was a security guard doing rounds constantly through out the night. The Hotel is just a victim of local elected officials allowing downtown Albuquerque to decompose so badly. It isn't the hotels fault at all, they did their best and I appreciate it. Also, I appreciate the ownership not translating the increased prices of dealing with rowdy and uncaring locals to travelers, I can appreciate San Mateo Inn's history in the area.

We liked that it was a gated property with not a lot of foot traffic walking around the premise. Minimal noise staying in the backside considering it was next to a busy street. The staff was super nice and inviting. The room was clean and cute. Numerous lighting options inside the room would definitely stay here again b

Mike is at the front desk and he is warm and welcoming, as well as efficient. Even at midnight!
The room is comfortable and clean. The bathroom is obviously old, but it’s clean and everything works.

Guy at the reception desk was very rude to my wife when she asked for ice machine. Which was broken and didn’t produce ice. He claimed someone must have emptied it but that was at 4 pm when we checked in. There was no ice all night and in the morning either. Bathroom was out dated with an old tub. The shower curtain was an old straight rod. The stool was dirty and had a cigarette burn on the lid. The stool was an old fashioned round one that was very low to the floor. The in room coffee maker was without the filter holder so it was useless. No drain stopper in the sink so one could lose something down the drain. Better turn the water on 10 minutes before you want to shower if you want hot water.

Pleasantly surprised. Dated hotel with renovations and thoughtful touches. Don’t worry when you pull up, it’s much nicer than at first glance. The rooms are just as nice as the Hampton we just stayed at, it’s just a bit older. Polite front desk employee. Extremely clean and comfortable room. Gated with privacy blind. You can tell this hotel is run great. It is very inexpensive and the area isn’t the best but they went out of their way to take measures to make you feel safe where you are. Would return for sure.
