Club Mac Alcudia

Well I’ve been prepping this all week as I was slightly regretting booking after seeing the reviews 🤯.…..BUT .. IGNORE THE BAD REVIEWS.. The reviews mention some nasty comments about everyone being here on the dole which really annoys me. THERE IS NO PROBLEM WITH THE PEOPLE COMING TO THIS HOTEL. everyone is kind and bringing their families to have a good time and I’m sick of people judging others especially in the reviews. The hotel is around 60 minutes bus drive from the airport not the 140 minutes started on some websites. Very nice bus when we booked through jet 2 so big up for that. (Activities for the kids) As a dad of two 1.5 and 7 years this place is incredible. Plenty of small pool activities for both kids and plenty of people here to make friends for the little ones. If your kids are older then don’t worry the older kids are either playing around the pool during the day or the pool tables /video game area on the evening. The water park is the icing on the cake for the older kids ( mine don’t like going under water ) so for us and because they are so young it was not great for them but still we went there for a fun day. The entrance Is free for being in the all inclusive holiday but the food/drink is not. €7.00 for a locker to put your valuables and €5 each for a sun bed. You can’t take floaties but baby ones are ok, and can’t take snacks unless you hide them well. Pricing is standard inside with it being around €5 for a hot dog. We took drinks with us in bottles and went back over to the hotel literally 2 minute walk over the road for food snacks and meals. If the kids are younger there is a dragon pool which just squirts water good for little ones. (Around the hotel) We stayed in the main hotel on the 4th floor the lifts are rubbish because everyone is using them and only 2 but you just need to wait a minute or so and eventually you get one (we have a pram). If you forget something on every floor outside the lifts people leave nappies juice sun cream if they are going home. Bottom of the lifts there is microwave, 24/7 coffee and juice machine and these are dotted around each different hotel block. Cold milk in some of the areas available but you can get boiling milk from the machine and cool down worst case scenario. We just filled up a couple of bottles at breakfast on the daily and put in our room fridge but good to know as our little man is a milk monster. It seems that for small babies either cool bottles in your room sink or bring Nuby rapid cool. There is a shop on site which sells inflatable and pretty much anything else you need, obviously at a premium but spar is over the road and a Lidl literally 8 minutes walk down the road. (Bedrooms) Bedrooms are neat and tidy just a little on the small side if you have a pram but you make it work right? Fridge, kettle hair dry and safety deposit box in rooms and free! Free shower gel and shampoo in the shower with a beautiful waterfall head and alternative lower shower head. Tv in

Where to start. Firstly this review is based on the overall experience of our holiday at club Mac but does not like the hotel itself with the score. When we got to club Mac we were greeted by outgoing guest who gave us their cups on the way out and was told we had to pay a euro for a cup which gave us the all inclusive drinks we are entitled to. This wasn’t a big deal, any adult can look after a cup for their drinks. Once check in was some which was very professional, we went to our room which was a premium room but was the size of a general bedroom which in a house. The room was nowhere near big enough for a family of four and the bathroom was even worse. A bath shower and the toilet behind the door! Needless to say there was a few accidents. As we explored we was happy with what we seen. Plenty to do for our little girl of 4, poops were big and plenty, lots to do in terms of parks and entertainment. Generally a nice hotel with lots to keep you busy. All of the staff were very friendly and always went out of their way to say hello and make us feel welcome and comfortable. Then our eyes were opened! Every day from morning to night was an absolute nigh**are! A certain pocket of people we all know who have a disregard for anyone else’s feelings just dominated the hotel and ran it into the ground. From Breakfast where they let their kids run wild and have plates of food all over the floor and barely touched to the evening where they would cause mayhem and we witnessed several fights, one of which chairs were thrown. This small pocket of people have chosen club Mac as their go to destination which was backed up by a lot of people we spoke to and just ruined it for everyone. No fewer than 20 people were spoke to all said the same thing. I witnessed a 2 year old stood up in a high chair holding a glass, crying out for attention from her mother for nearly 5 minutes before the decided to climb out and cause mayhem in the food hall. Her father’s response to her mother was just let her run wild! The entire holiday was like this, parts of the hotel gradually got worse in damage with elevators being vandalised and toilets being damaged. It’s such a shame because the hotel had so much potential. Food was ok, varied enough to please everyone, avoid the Jupiter hall as it’s the biggest and you feel the quality dip. The Saturn and the marte are better. I honestly believe this plans would be one of the best hotels around if they just got rid of these people, they would be better off going on a caravan holiday instead of you get my drift. Avoid if you like cleanliness, good manners and want to feel comfortable without risk of having to defend yourself for accidentally sneezing in the wrong direction

Food is very poor, overcooked, frozen and raw. We ended up with food poisoning. Reception staff are so rude calling people in Spanish thinking people can't understand them. Things went missing out of our room. Far to many people there and the noise levels at night ment you could sleep. Rooms are really small and we had an ant problem in ours

I understand everyone has their own views I know people who have been in previous years and couldn't speak more highly of this hotel. However I'm just back from a weeks holiday here and never spoke to a single person staying at the time who enjoyed their stay. So here's my honest personal opinion. Take from it what you will. I think the hotel is fine, people forget its a 3 star you get what you pay for. It's clean there is loads to do, the pools are great. The food is fine. The staff all seemed lovely. You get free water park access. Free shuttle bus to the lovely beach. But the people staying here are just beyond! We went in off peak season and it was so busy! Room We stayed in the main marte building on 5th floor in a standard room with 2 double beds. It was tiny. I believe all the rooms are pretty similar size but there's more space in a bunk bed room and obviously the family suites etc. Someone mentioned you can email them and request a corner room which had huge balconies and nicer views so if you can get one of those I think that would make a difference. However the rooms are clean enough and all you really need for a holiday like this. The shower was a bit of a nigh**are though and kept flooding out onto the floor which another family told us theirs did the same. People complained about the noise levels I didn't have any issues with this in our room didn't get woken once and the entertainment noise was fairly faint from our room. Food The food was fine. I'm a picky eater as is my son and we both found something to eat every night. There's a kids section for dinner where they can go and serve themselves, my 2 loved this. Always pork or chicken etc even when there's theme nights. What I would say though is there's 3 restaurants 1 in each of the hotels and we pretty much ate in marte every meal as the other 2 were just so busy. There seemed to be more food options in the other 2 though they had a pizza station which was lovely and did more pasta dishes etc. So depends how happy you are to que. The burger shack by the lake everyone raves about but I'll be honest I wasn't that impressed again the food is fine my kids loved the chicken nuggets as they look like mcds ones. It's a great idea cause its like a wee takeaway you get chicken nuggets, burgers, chicken burgers and hot dogs and can order as much as you like but you always get the ones taking advantage and the ques are ridiculous! You get 4 nuggets in a bag if your early, as the day goes on they lower it to 3 nuggets so people are ordering 3 bags per person etc. Drinks We aren't huge drinkers but my husband wasn't all that keen on the alcohol. I loved the slush cocktails though went down a treat. You can upgrade I believe but we didn't bother. You rent cups at 1 euro deposit each from reception you can rent as many as you like you only need these for alcohol. Non alcoholic drinks are given in paper cups. You can also get a cup holder for I think 5 euro deposit which was fab to

Hotel was okay entertainment was okay. We had a good holiday only because of the people we went with, but the hotel cleanliness wasn’t great they don’t clean the pools all the time and they watered down all their drinks. Beer was flat and the main premier drinks were weak even though they filled them up a quarter full almost taste the water. We will never book this hotel again.

Amazing holiday. Could not fault a single thing, seen so many poor reviews but me and my kids had a great time. Food was great, always something to fill up on. Desserts were the best part! Staff are super friendly and helpful, resort was always clean and tidy, cleaning staff for the rooms were lovely. We will 100% be returning, we went out once and spent a day at the beach but there's really no need if you are happy to stay in the resort, there is always something to do. The waterpark was a big hit with the kids. If I had to find one fault it would simply be that we arrived very late and check in took over an hour but only because there was near enough a coach full of people checking in, not the hotels fault at all. Don't always read a negative review and be put off. Make your own mind up. We can't wait to return.

We went for 10 nights there was 8 of us in all and not one of us ate a full meal once everytime we ate in the complex we was poorly, the hotel itself was very loud so if you have children in bedtime routines at all before 11pm it’s a nigh**are to try get them to sleep, they have a lot of room where they could of moved evening entertainment to or could of put families with younger children in the hotel further away from entertainment. The walls are paper thin so can hear every noise from other rooms, The drinks from tap so was flat, the only positive was the rooms were clean when we got there.

review post Arrived home today after 10 days (well 6 days as my daughter contracted gastroenteritis and ended up in hospital) Rooms- we booked a premium room as travel agent said the rooms were small and would have more space with bunk beds. not the case at all. my parents had a standard room with 2 double beds and it was much bigger than ours. Cleaners were amazing with us considering they were changing our bedding 3/4 times a day for 2 days due my daughter being ill. they also sanitised the room our room most days due to her being so sick. Food- typical 3* nothing to right home about. if you want it hot then be prepared to que for opening times. plenty variety and the staff are amazing and attentive. they even made myself and husband wee bags to take to the hospital for something to eat. Drinks- Good choice, cocktails are ok however it is so busy so they are barely slushy. shame they only have one beer and also don't do cider not even on premium band. entertainment- I can't comment on this as my daughter is autistic so couldn't handle going. we did go to the bingo which was good. if you do one thing, get your caricature done by the man at the lake- he is amazing! plenty pools around the complex but arrive early or you won't get a bed. Water park- we enjoyed it however the kids part doesn't open until 12pm and the wave pool is only on every few hours. I have to say the beach was beautiful and had the clearest water ever! All in all we had a good time but unfortunately won't be back, it was just to busy for my daughter to enjoy fully even right at the start of the season.
