I arrived at the hotel late and was directed to my room. 5 minutes later the bedroom phone rang. I answered and it was Antonio from reception saying that although the restaurant had closed, they had prepared a plate of food for me! Off I went to be presented with a gorgeous plate of various foods including pizza, chicken brest, fish, sald, eggs. Delicious and excellent service. Throught my week long stay, the staff were very courteous and supplied great service. The food was delicious and varied. At breakfast, there was a great deal of choice from cereals and yoghurts to eggs, cheese, ham and breads. Fruit juice and water was available along with coffees and tea. The hotel itself is Sicilian in style, clean and confortable (especially the bed). It sits adjacent to the cable car which takes you up into Taormina. I was a bit dubious about going on it at first because I was very nervous but I actually enjoyed the journey (I went on it three times to see the quaint town of Taormina). This preetty town has loads of history and I highly recommend the gardens and the ancient theatre. As a female solo traveller, there were no issues - Sicilians are the friendliest of people - and I was totally comfortable sitting in a bar sampling one of the local wines and dining by myself. Villa hotel Bianca is the ideal place from which to explore. Isola Bella is a few hundred metres up the road. I did it early in the morning but be aware that there are 140 steps down, which means 140 steps back up! Luckilly, there is a bar opposite where you can grab something to quench the inevitable thirst! A bit further down the bay, you can hire a boat - Davide was the skipper when I went. It was amazing and he anchors the boat so you can jump in for a swim. A beautiful part of the world.#I also ventured to Siracusa and Ortigia where you can see both Apollo's Temple and Athena's Temple (now a cathedral). I had lunch in Ortigia, which was fantastic. All in all, this hotel was perfect. Antonio on reception was fabulous, along with the whole staff and it is a great location, whether you want to lounge around on the beaches or whether you want to go further afield to explore the surrounding areas. Also, you can easuily get to Messina from here to get the ferry across to Calabria. I would definitely go back to this hotel. Thank you Hotel Billa Bianca.

I’ve got to say we were delightfully surprised by this hotel. We booked this place as it was nearby to where we booked our wedding. Travelling with my now husband and our nearly 2 year old. From the minute of walking through the doors we saw how truly nice and special this place was. We just booked a standard room, we were located on the ground floor and the room was a lot bigger than we expected. It was nice and peaceful even being so close to reception in room 112. It was clean, comfortable, well air conditioned. Was just what we needed. We had breakfast included in our price which was continental but had scrambled eggs, bacon, range of cheeses and meats including ricotta. Cereals, pasties and cakes all of the above was of a great standard. You could eat inside or out. The staff in the dining room are even better, gianluca, Gianfrano the waiters and the manager fabrizio. And a lovely lady with short dark hair was amazing with our son, They really made us feel welcome and special, they couldn’t do enough for us. So professional and friendly. We also spent an evening in the restaurant which the food was fantastic. Again great service here too! The beautiful garden and surroundings of the hotel are so picturesque. Nice big pool area including a kids pool. We also spent some time down by the beach bar which was relaxing and I have to mention how lovely the ladies down at the reception area of the beach/shop. Giulia and Maria, so lovely, friendly and helpful. The lobby bar was brilliant Adriano made us feel right at home, so friendly, welcoming and looked after our son if we needed milk warming up, no matter what time of day. The shuttle service from this hotel is fantastic, you pre book your shuttle up and down from Taormina. It’s free too! We loved Salvatore! He made us smile, he was lovely, helpful and genuine. We miss him already!! I have to say, the staff here are a real main reason we would want to come stay again. We live in Sheffield in England but my new husband is originally from Catania, we normally would stay with family but after this trip I know we will be back. Don’t waste any more money staying anywhere else, this hotel offers everything you want and need. Thank you for having us Hotel Caparena! See you again one day I’m sure! The hotel is very good, the swimming pool is very good, the breakfast is rich, the scenery is very good

The hotel presidential suite is basically the entire fake impeccable. The room has its own swimming pool, two bedrooms, high privacy and high level of service. The hotel spa is also worth a visit, just to relax after swimming. The hotel has a private beach. Upon check-in, a free island cruise is provided, and a shuttle service up and down the mountain is provided. This hotel is a joke. A very bad joke. If you want to waste your hard earned money and ruin your family vacation then this is the place to be, look no further. But if you want to have a nice place to stay and have a good vacation please stay away this rathole. This ”hotel” is something left behind by a long gone era maybe it was good during Mussolini and his era, but ín 2023 it is definitely an absurd very bad joke, a real rathole. The building itself is an old rundown place with very old, broken furniture, not functioning air condition and plumbing system. The air conditioner was at least 20 years old, making loud noise without any cooling effect. A real piece of junk. There was no adequate water pressure so showering was a challenge except you enjoy showering ín cold water only. But the hotel' s main ”attraction” was the restaurant. Now this is the most horrid place I have ever been. The food was terrible, impossible to eat, the portions were ridicoulosly small and the waiters were from a long gone Era As well. They were chatting all the time instead of working so we always had to wait forever to get our disgusting meal, which we couldn't eat anyway. We left the restaurant with an empty stomach on most days. All ín all Hotel San Pietro ín Letojanni should be closed forever ín the benefit of mankind. Please stay away if you want good for yourself and your family!

Pros Very clean All staff are very friendly Cons Breakfast is a very basic buffet, and it is the same every day. Nothing hot. Everything out of packets! Hotel pool on rooftop, only about 8 sunbeds. Not enough space for more Larger sun terrace but again not enough sun.beds (about 8), and some were broken Some photos show the lido, but this means a minibus shuttle & costs 12euros each. A few reasonable restaurants within walking distance olong a very busy road. Alternatively, use the cable car to Taormina (10 euros return), or bus (3.80 euros return) Isola Bella within walking distance but nothing else really. You will spend a lot of money to get anywhere from this hotel.

The ocean view is really heartfelt. To get to the city center, you have to walk and then take the cable car. Personally think the hotel is fine, but just a little old. The main reason is that the price is not good. Sorry for the price of 2000 nights (late October, out of high season). Lower than expected. Reasonable price 1200.
