Xandari Riverscapes

Our rice boat tour was fantastic! We did a two-night excursion around the Kerala backwaters and enjoyed every minute. The boat’s crew was amazing….very friendly and attentive. The accommodations on board are very nice with all the amenities. The meals were delicious - an excellent mix of local and Indian foods. For bird enthusiasts, there are myriad birds including fish eagles, herons, kingfishers, cormorants, and bee-eaters. We hope to do another backwater cruise, but with friends who need to experience the beauty and peacefulness of the backwaters.

Wonderful calm 24 hrs floating around the lovely lakes and canals of Alappuzha being pampered by our crew…expert captain Sony, delicious food prepared by Rajeev and comforts in hospitality from Arkkan … thank you!! Nani … what a way to experience this magical place :D

The experience was wonderful. We were taken care of very well and had a sumptuous lunch and tea prepared for us . The staff Sujeet, Prince and Sony attended to us and whipped a fantastic meal. The boat was very steady and it was a joyous experience

Absolutely awesome experience!!! We definitely recommend! Honey welcomed us to Alappuzha and handed us over to the wonderful boat staff Venu, Arun and Sujith. The food cooked by the chef Sujith was absolutely delicious. We even had the option of buying fresh crab and prawn which he made ***** with the delicious meals he had planned for us. The vegetarian options were excellent. The captain of the boat Venu, was a super host and went out of his way to ensure that our stay was pleasant. We stayed for 1 night and wished we had booked two. If you are ever in Kerala, make it a point to visit. You won’t regret!

A burst of joy is how I would term our Xandari houseboat experience . From the time of booking till the end of the trip, everyone went out of their way to make us comfortable. Benita, Honey, and on the boat Pradeep, Prdeesh and chef Martin...really appreciate all of them. My friend from Colombo and I embarked on this quick houseboat stay. Despite being a Malayalee, this was a first time experience for me, and I'm so glad we did it. Clean houseboat, courteous staff and great food. I particularly liked the detailed explanations given to us as we boarded , including the route. Also the opportunity to buy fresh catch from a waterside shop and have it cooked for dinner was super! I highly recommend the Xandari houseboat experience!
