Tigh Na Leigh

Gorgeous guest house. Welcomed on arrival and given a tour. They have an amazing garden!! Somewhere you could finish your day in, with a fire pit, paths to walk through the garden. Very clean and the decor is fantastic. Each room is different and decorated to a high standard. We stayed in room 3. We had our own living area that lead to our bedroom and new walk in shower bathroom that had a drench shower. Amazing!!! I didn't want to get out of the shower. Towels, tea and coffee and water provided. You access to the rooms downstairs and the garden. Can come and go as you please. You can have food there also. We had breakfast in the morning. Included in price. It was amazing!. They provided home grown produce and homemade produce. The granola was delicious. We also have fresh coffee and a Scottish breakfast that includes eggs from their own chickens. Oh and homemade rhubard jam yum!!! I can't fault this guesthouse at all. Graeme and Karen were lovely. Karen does the cooking and she's a credit to the guest house. Graeme was brilliant. Telling us and others their about places to see nearby. He suggested to us about a waterfall nearby. We went there before heading home. Very happy we did. They are approachable, friendly and very helpful. We will stay here again and I would highly recommend others to do so also. Great amenities nearby also. Shops, pub and a great chippy!. We walked around the area after dinner and it was lovely.

This lovely, exquisitely styled B&B is a must if you are in the area. They will also do evening meals by arrangement. (One of the best meals we had on our two week tour of Scotland ) . Such a lovely experience we had staying here. Every part of this place has had thought to detail with heart and soul. Thank you Karen and Graham .

We were able to get tickets to the Braemar Gathering and changed our planned schedule to stay at Tigh Na Leigh Guest House for one night on our way. That unexpected stop was the best stay of our three week trip. The room, the garden, the food and the hosts were perfect. We opted for the evening meal- SO GOOD. There’s a kitchen garden and chickens for fresh veggies and eggs, and we had the best homemade bread. I would have loved to have stayed longer to enjoy this place and explore the village and countryside.

Delightful and attentive, informative hosts (Graham & Karen). Karen was tonight’s Chef & is a genuine pro. This guest house was painstakingly and tastefully renovated in the last few years. It is warm and comfortable and spacious. there is a lovely garden and sitting area that gets great afternoon sun

Stayed here on a recent cycle tour, the owners Graham and Karen have certainly got this nailed! Exceptional property, great breakfast, this place is an object lesson in how to run a hotel/b&b. Thoroughly recommend that if you’re looking for a special place to stay in Alyth, then this is it.

I felt like a guest in Graham and Karen's home and Graham and Karen were perfect hosts. The accommodation is superb. The interiors and attention to detail are exceptional, including two lounges for guests. The dining room overlooks a perfect garden and pond. After 2 weeks and 6 inns/hotels in Scotland, my husband and I can say that our stay at Tigh Na Leigh was the best of them all. The guest house is beautiful and comfortable - we really felt at home. What set Tigh Na Leigh apart though was Karen and Graham. Outstanding hosts who go above and beyond to keep you well fed and ensure you can enjoy as much of the local area with the time you have. Breakfast and dinner were delicious - Karen's homemade jams were a real treat! Graham comes prepared with the best scenic drives (complete with restaurant recommendations) that include castles, coastal vistas, the mountains, waterfalls, and lakes. Every guest house needs a Graham!

What a gem Tigh Na Leigh Guest House is! We were with two other couples and all of our rooms were uniquely decorated and outfitted with different sorts of comfortable furniture; the ensuite bathroom was a real treat as well. We loved relaxing in the little sitting room in our suite. The artwork throughout the home is AMAZING -- we loved the combination of a Victorian home with contemporary furnishings that popped everywhere we looked. The Honor Bar on the ground floor was well-stocked and so inviting, as was the living room across the hall. Love the bees on the wallpaper! The garden to the side and rear of the home is truly a labor of love. Chickens, vegetables, fruit to pick off the tree -- walking through the garden was a peaceful experience of nature morning and evening. Karen's breakfasts are yummy and made from high-quality ingredients, some coming from the home's garden. We had dinner one night as well -- also a delicious and beautifully presented meal. Graham was very helpful with suggestions of things to do and wanted to assist us in any way necessary to make our visit special. He and Karen achieved that goal with flying colors -- this was one of our favorite places to stay on our trip with friends.

Wow! The eye to detail is spot on, inside and in the garden. The look.of everything is wonderful. Loved the art and the spacious room. Graham is very focused on knowing what you need. Karen is a great cook. You will be delighted if you stay here. It's more than 5 stars.
