Amazing room and an amazing continental breakfast. Everything and more to choose from. Centre of town 2 minutes walk away. Book direct and don't pay the parking fee of £12 . Staff great and very friendly. Will definitely be back and would ask for the same room again. Chairs outside do you can sit and have a brew at your room.

Friendly helpful staff. Lovely big room. Clean & tastefully decorated. On site parking. No lift so stairs to accommodation levels. No bar or lounge area but pleasant breakfast room & good (tho not extensive) breakfast choices. Shower hot with good pressure.

The Ups Beds are comfortable and shower was great for me. Great selection of tv channels., staff friendly & helpful. The Downs No real room servicing. Beds not made, towels not changed, room not cleaned at all. They only offer a mini-service-refreshing hospitality tray, bins, loo rolls. Breakfast available 8.00 - 9.00, or 9.30 at peak times & only continental. For the price charged it is definitely not good value.

Friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms and good parking. Located only a mile walk from the ferry and a short step away from the centre on Ambleside. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome. Will definitely be booking again for a return trip.

We have just had 2 relaxing nights at the brathay lodge in ambleside. This is our 3rd visit here and would recommend for anyone who loves the lakes. We had the superior double room on the 2nd floor overlooking the beautiful mountains and church. The room is clean and tidy and has a tv, fire, new bathroom with bath and shower, the breakfast is a continental and lots of choice. In a great position for walking and lots of shops, cinema, food places, cafe and so on.

Family run hotel. Very friendly and helpful owners. Our bedrooms were spacious and comfortable, clean and practical with lots of storage space. One of the best continental breakfasts we ever had. Excellent location for the town and pier. Quiet. We really enjoyed our stay.

We arrived on tueasday got here 2 hours early luck would have it my room was ready the owners the staff were excellent couldnt do enough for us our room was spotless bed comfy bathroom was gorgeous brathay Lodge is situated in the perfect spot all amenities close by I will definitely be coming back after our welcome thanks to all for a wonderful stay

Great position, plenty of parking (although you may need to pay extra for this). Myself and a colleague shared a good size room, super comfy beds, great bathroom with large shower and good buffet continental breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. Will stay again for sure.

Room was clean, breakfast not worth £12.00, places in Ambleside that serve a great full English breakfast for £13.00. Manager was rude, accosted me on the final morning with a curt request as wether a car in the car park was mine. Would not recommend this hotel, interior decor feels very institutional.
