Once again, I have had a very relaxing and comfortable stay at the Southern Cross Motor Inn, Ararat. On each occasion, I have been pleased with the comfort of the bed, bathroom facilities, and the reading lamp by the bed. I highly recommend this motel for your next stay in Ararat.

I have stayed here on a regular basis and always found it a wonderful experience. Very high standard, everything done for your comfort from the wonderful breakfast to the terrific bedside lights, excellent for reading. Every attention to detail and I could not recommend more highly.

We have been coming to the Southern Cross Motor Inn in Ararat for 2 years now and have never been disappointed with the quality of this accommodation. The rooms are bigger, the windows are double glazed so the rooms are quieter and they are always scrupulously clean. The operators of this motor inn are always looking to make small changes to make visitors more comfortable including, dare I mention it, the best quality toilet paper we have seen in a motel or hotel in a long time. The last time we stayed in October, we noticed they have now supplied non-slip mats to avoid older people like us slipping in the shower. We can thoroughly recommend this accommodation for its comfort and attention to detail.

Returning traveller. Superb experience, everything done to a great standard, including the breakfast and the bedside lights. A great welcome, even the heating was on to greet me. Very highly recommended.

This a family run motel and it is adequate but not set up for longer stays, as we stayed 4 nights. It was clean and quiet but very dark. They need better lighting or sheer daylight curtains, since the curtains open to the street. TV and internet were good but I have had better sleep in other places.

I had a very comfortable stay here when I came here to work! Friendly staff, spotlessly clean room, very spacious and comfortable. Large bathroom, microwave and fridge. Will definitely stay again. Not sure if they provide breakfast, as I just got Maccas :)

Stopped over here for 1 night on our travels. Although they didn't have a family room large enough to accommodate to our family of 6, they did give us 2 rooms side by side. The rooms were both very large, one had a queen bed (wit a couch, desk etc), the 2nd room had a queen bed and a single bed. The rooms were cleaned tidy, the owners were very friendly and lovely. We would most certainly stay here again, and would highly recommend.

Returning guest. Such a joy to be at your wonderful motel again. From the warm, country welcome to the very comfortable beds, restful decor, hot and strong showers and your breakfasts are filling and delicious …. everything is done to such a tremendous standard. Always a pleasure to stay there, thank you.

A regular stop for us on our Adelaide to Melbourne trips. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. Although on the highway the rooms aren’t noisy. Hosts are very friendly & helpful. Just a short walk to the RSL for an excellent meal. Breakfast is available in room or there are some good cafés in the town. Why not stay an extra night & explore some of the historical sites, take in the beautiful scenery or visit some excellent local wineries. Highly recommend this establishment.
