The Ardingly Inn

I booked as I had meetings in the area. A great pub! The staff are friendly, food and rooms were very good. Great Wi-Fi also which meant I could continue with work whilst in there conference room free of charge. I can’t recommend enough. Will definitely be back !

Didn’t stay but what I can say is that the Licensees (Will & Michelle) DO NOT PAY THEIR STAFF. This is beyond wrong on all levels. People need to live and have bills to pay but they are avoiding all contact as the staff try and reach out. Pay your staff.

Did not stay as we were unaware the rooms where available. However we had a fantastic Sunday lunch. Staff could not be more accomodating and the pub atmosphere was brilliant. Very friendly locals and they had a live music. Singer was also very good not overly loud and a good variety of material.

My meal, fish and chip, had been covered in salt from the kitchen. When I mentioned that I don’t have salt I was told “That’s just the way we do it” The excess of salt ruined what was probably a nice meal. Disappointed with response from the landlord.

Highly recommend this pub under new management. Clean and spacious rooms with super comfortable beds and nice en suite with excellent shower. Cosy bar for drinks. Delicious breakfast - the full English was a hit. Friendly and helpful staff.

I thought i would try out this pub as it’s new and local. When i went in they were very rude and the service was awful. The food was also inedible! I later found out from a friend that they fired her friends daughter without telling her and treated her very unprofessionally/badly. She was only 17! From the experience i had i will say i’m not surprised! I don’t recommend this pub !

Returned here after a previous disappointing experience. The food was excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Glad we came back and gave them another chance. We had the burgers which were enjoyable. We were made to feel welcome and we liked sitting at the high tops.

I worked at this pub for about 4 months and the amount of unprofessionalism i experienced is ridiculous. They completely took advantage of me and fired me for no reason without even telling me, i had to find out through a colleague. Don’t go to this pub, they are rude and they don’t treat their staff with any respect. If you want to go to a pub in ardingly I recommend the Gardeners Arms up the road.

I drove an hour's journey to visit with my daughter and son-in-law this refurbished pub which I had heard so much about. Although I hadn't visited before I could see it had been newly decorated and the enticingy smells were welcoming. We sat at the last table available at around 19.30 and were brought the menus. We were told by the young waiter that there were no pies left or curry, but there was plenty more on the menu to choose from. We ordered the food and drinks from the bar as the waiter seemed to disappear! We were waiting patiently for our food when the young waiter came back again with some bad news..i assume that he was going to say there was no fish and chips left. But no, and I honestly thought he was joking. He said " really sorry to tell you this but your order didnt go through and the kitchen has been cleaned and closed down" ABSOLUTELY UNBELIEVABLE! At 8 pm? Who stops serving food at 8pm? I said open it up then and do our order, but he said the chef had left. I have to say I still can't believe how we were treated. We were offered a voucher for a free meal and free drinks but that is not the point! We were hungry there and then, and everything else was closing at that point. This is not the way to treat new customers and locals who would have supported you and recommended you to all their friends.
