We spent 3 nights at this beautiful facility. When you arrive, you will see a very peaceful surrounding. Hosts are exceptionally friendly, smiling every time, you can feel that you are very important for them, they help you to be relaxed. They will do everything for you to smile at the and too. Suits are very nice, clean, quite big to have a nice stay. At the big garden you can feel the smell of many flowers and trees. The size of the pool is enaugh to support as many guests as they could have. You have your own umbrella and bed with table, if you would like to drink some coctail, Alessio will fulfil your wishes. Evening dinners are perfect, everything is home made. Every day you can have a gastronomic tour, with a wide selection of wine from their small winary. And at the and I would like to mention the 3 dogs, Hope, Kira and Tequila. They are very friendly, they will escort you everywhere. Thank you again to give us so much love. We will come back to you! An idyllic location, tucked away on a quiet road overlooking the beautiful valleys and hillsides of Umbria. We could just sit there by the pool for hours and enjoy the views with just the sound of the birds. Alex is an awesome front of house. Very knowledgeable and always keen to engage in conversation about the estate and beyond, even recommending a restaurant in nearby Assisi when we ventured out. I would thoroughly recommend this property if you would like a quiet break with high end home cooked food, fantastic wines and impeccable service. Cheers Allessio 🍻 squeezy, squeezy 🤣

We had the loveliest time at Santa Maria Degli Ancillotti. This was our first trip to Umbria, and we were not sure what to expect as it is not as widely visited by Americans i sense. That is a shame, as we enjoyed our time in this area even more than our time in Tuscany. It is a beautiful, beautiful area, with great food and great people. Lots to see and visit, without at feeling at all touristy. The highlight of the trip was our visit at Santa Maria Degli Ancillotti. The facility is a small estate with a limited number of rooms. It is beautiful on every level, with a wonderful family that runs the place. Breakfast and dinner is served, and cooked by the family to serve to guests. The accommodations were first rate, and between the beauty of the grounds, the hospitality and great location, we will surely visit again. We just loved it.

We had such a wonderful stay at Santa Maria Degli Ancillotti! It is a beautiful property overlooking the valley, very peaceful! We especially enjoyed drinking a cocktail and relaxing by the pool after a day exploring the Assisi area. Alex is wonderful and charming host and his wife, sister and mother make the most delicious breakfasts and dinners! We enjoyed a four course dinner including homemade pasta each night. I hope to return someday! This would be such a fun place to stay with a group of friends or family!

... and it is called Santa Maria Degli Ancillotti. This was our 4th stay in Santa Maria Degli Ancillotti, and again a fantastic experience. The beautiful location, spacious and perfectly cleaned rooms (with good wifi and airconditioning !), large swimming pool with comfortable sunbeds and large umbrellas and a large garden full of olive trees create a relaxing atmosphere where you really feel at home. All of this perfectly combined with high quality service and attention to detail. And last but not least ... dinner ! Fresh quality ingredients, prepared with passion and love (thank you again Inez, Susie and "mammie" !!!) and served by Alessio with a big smile. What else would one want ? Of course, a good bottle of wine. No problem. The wine list has more than enough possibilities. A unique combination which so far we have not found anywhere else, making Santa Maria Degli Ancillotti heaven on earth.

We chose Santa Maria degli Ancillotti after reading the excellent reviews on Trip Advisor. We were delighted with the environment, beautifully kept gardens and accommodation, large clean pool with plenty of sun beds and the extremely warm welcome . The breakfast and evening five course dinner was exceptional and host Alessio friendly and knowledgeable. It was just ten minutes drive to Assisi. This is the first place we have stayed in Italy where you can’t hear any traffic noise It is short drive from Perugia airport so would make an ideal place for a long weekend from the UK. We loved this place so much that we are coming back in a month’s time!

Santa Maria degli Ancillotti è un luogo speciale dove si respira la natura, dove il l’azzurro del cielo e il verde degli alberi sono i colori dominanti. Perfetto per rilassarsi, per apprezzare le bellezze umbre e dimenticarsi della vita di città. Le camere spaziose e pulitissime, la colazione ricca dolce e salata, tutto ottimo, ti senti coccolato in ogni momento. Le donne di casa sono una forza, il loro carattere lo ritrovi nei piatti deliziosi che cucinano con tanta cura, nei dettagli del meraviglioso giardino; e Alessio è un ottimo padrone di casa , “sempre sul pezzo”, impeccabile, sempre pronto a soddisfare le tue esigenze. Lasciamo questa struttura incantevole con un’immagine impressa nel cuore, una cartolina con la scritta “Benvenuti in Paradiso”!

Speciale. Santa Maria degli Ancillotti è un luogo speciale. Sin dal primo contatto telefonico si comprende tutto questo. Tanta attenzione, cortesia, disponibilità’. Spazi esterni curatissimi, camere arredate con gusto, pulizia. Cibo eccellente, piatti della tradizione umbra ma non solo, rivistati in chiave moderna. Ingredienti di ottima qualità anche provenienti dall’orto della proprietà. Ampia scelta di vini. Noi e la nostra cagnolina siamo stati coccolati tutta la settimana. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour . Tout était parfait et surtout l accueil et la prévenance constante d ´ Alessio . Il a même pensé à mon anniversaire. Le lieu est super entretenu , la piscine magnifique de grande taille pour nager. L environnement au calme au milieu des oliviers . Nous avons dîner tous les soirs au restaurant , une cuisine familiale avec des menus variés et des produits de qualité. Bref le top et d’excellents souvenirs.
