Hotel LIS

From the moment I walked in to Hotel Lis I was treated like an old friend. The owners and staff went beyond to make me feel at home. They helped me navigate in an unfamiliar town by offering a map and directions. The rooms were clean and fresh and the beds were very comfortable. I slept for a solid 13 hours and woke up to the most amazing breakfast imaginable!

Good location, 5 mins walk from the station. Big bed, nice bathroom, good toiletries. Kettle, tea coffee and biscuits. Safe. Electric shutters. Complimentary bottle of wine. Great selection at breakfast, lots of fresh fruit, fresh pastries, and a good selection of cold meats, cheeses, eggs, fruit juices, etc. A negative - You can hear many noises from the other rooms. Sadly I have the suspicion that someone who cleaned my room went through my clothes. I use packing cubes and I felt that they had been looked through and tampered with…!

The family who owns and operates this hotel take great pride in offering guests a comfortable stay in immaculate, spacious modern rooms. From the moment we stepped into the hotel we were warmly greeted and pleasantly surprised to find a complimentary bottle of local wine, fresh fruit, cookies, and an electric tea kettle with a variety of teas to choose from . What a perfect thoughtful gesture that demonstrates the eagerness of the staff to provide guests with a happy, memorable experience. I rarely give five star reviews, but my husband and I have been traveling throughout Italy for a month staying in 4 star hotels and the Hotel Lis is the very best hotel we stayed in this trip. I don’t know which organization assigns hotel stars, but they definitely should re-evaluate Hotel Lis because it exceeds the 4 star hotels we stayed in. The included breakfast was amazing - it is a feast for the eyes ! It had the widest variety of foods we encountered in any hotel. The staff will happily squeeze fresh oranges for your breakfast and the delicious breads are all made in house. Our room; (room 123) overlooked the lovely park across the street. The hotel has a great location and is within walking distances to many shops and restaurants and a large piazza. Another pleasant surprise - a few yards down from the hotel entrance we found street parking which is unusual for Italian cities- now that’s an Italian miracle! Bravo ! To the staff of Hotel Lis!!

A great family run business close to city centre. Pros - best breakfast ever! Owners provide hands in service. Freshly squeezed juices, 13 handmade cakes on offer and handmade breads. Very clean rooms Limited parking available Cons- can be noisy at night which made sleeping difficult

The owners and staff were extremely attentive. While we were waiting for our room (we were checking in early), we were offered a glass of prosecco while we waited. Our room was clean and comfortable. The following morning we were offered the best breakfast we've ever had at a hotel. Complete with hot meal, fruit, cereal and nuts, and there were numerous fruit tortes. Most were even lactose free so I could try several. All in all a great experience.

Hotel Lis has the best breakfast spread I've ever seen. Local artisanal cheeses, meats, savoury dishes and an abundance of sweet treats. The staff are warm and welcoming, making this one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. Rooms are clean and comfortable. I can't recommend it highly enough.

Great location near the train station and the breakfast was also wonderful! My main complaint is that our room smelled like smoke which was really bothersome. Unfortunately they didn’t have any other available rooms for us to move to.
