I have to say I won't be returning to this Hampton Inn. Although it's one of the newer ones I've stayed in, I did not have a good experience.
1) Got ZERO sleep the first night because even though I turned the thermostat off, it turned on every 5-10 mins, clicked 20 times loudly (my husband asked what that noise was when we were on the phone) and turned off, only to repeat ALL night. Second night, I switched rooms around 2 am but I realized it wasn't a room specific thing. Next day, I asked the engineer to come and turn the radiator unit off on their end. Although it was below 20 degrees, I would have rather frozen than be up all night. Here for an important work trip so not ideal to be so tired.
2) Got a call from the front desk asking why my stuff was there still and why there was a person in my room bc I was supposed to check out...Not nice. I said, my mistake, I'll pay now for the night. They wanted me to come to the hotel right away and I'm a work even. In the end, it was not my mistake. I did book the correct dates. Just not that nice.
3) Saturday am, 8:00 am, do not disturb is on...BRIGHT ORANGE SIGN and the housekeeper knocks on the door...come on!
I feel totally ripped off and literally left livid. Had an amazing stay at one of the most outdated Hampton Inns in MS recently - goes to show you new isn't always better.
Shoutout to the breakfast lady from St. Thomas - she's amazing and some of the guests weren;t that nice to her...but she's great!
