If you’d prefer not to stay in the CBD, then seriously consider staying here in Devonport. It’s a very nice short walk to the ferry, in a lovely suburban area, with Takarunga (Mount Victoria) directly behind the house. It’s a short climb up to one of the best views over to Auckland and the water. Free espresso coffee machine use, very clean rooms, friendly hosts, and easy parking on the street. Recommended for a lovely stay.

Excellent location with Devonport within easy walking distance. Lovely appointed room and bathroom. Room 4 was quiet and at the rear of the house David was friendly and welcoming. Whittaker's chocolate bars a nice touch! Only downside was the torrential rain present for the majority of the weekend

We stayed for 13 nights in May on a visit to see family and chose this guest house the moment we saw it online and it proved to be as amazing as it sounded. The room was beautiful with an amazing view of the city from the terrace. Spotlessly clean room. The hosts, David and Tracy went above and beyond which only made our stay more special. I would highly recommend staying here to anyone wishing for a relaxing stay in a lovely family run guest house. A big thank you to David and Tracy. From Janis and Ian from England.
