The name Makronisos Village is very apt because hotel "rooms" are little houses around the "lake" - the pool. In the "village" there are also a restaurant and a supermarket (10 meters from reception but the prices are high). Our room was "the penthouse" in a three story building. Room was spacious with it´s own little kitchen and a large balcony. Beds were comfortable and cooling system worked fine. Nothing much on TV. Breakfast is served near pool (the bar) form 7.30 and costs 8 euros. The personel were and are wonderfull and helpfull. The pool is very shallow, but You can still swim in it for exercise. Lifeguard is present between 10-18. Makronisos Village is located about 5 km from Agia Napa center and You can get there by walking or by bus or by taxi (mostly extended Mercedeses) or by bicycles, which You can rent from the reception 10 euros per day. Two kind of buses (local are blu and long distance are green), but there is a little quessing of when the bus You want is coming to nearest bus stop. The wait is never too (?) long. One local trip is 1,50 euros and a day ticket is 5 euros. Keep some coins and cash with You allways. Or You can rent a car, which we did. About 80 euros per day plus gas. Credit cards are accepted several places like supermarkets but in restaurants cash is the way to pay (tips). During our visit (May) the wheather was mostly warm, but very (!) windy. So laying by the pool or going to the beach (nearest about 800 meters) is not allways the best option. Luckily there is much to see. By the way: You need to keep Your food in hotel room in the fridge, because there are lot of ants! And they will find Your open bags of food.
