Agam Hotel

Just checked out from a two night stay in Agam Hotel, it was definitely a 5-star stay for us. Staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. We had a long personalised check-in in which we got all the information about Bacalar. Room was nice. If we have to say something negative about it, it would be the low water pressure in the shower. Apart from that, the state of our room was great with high cleanliness. Breakfast was minimal but delicious. Location of the hotel is amazing. Within 5 minutes walking you’re at the lagoon, and within 15 minutes inside the city center. Parking is indeed on the street in front of the hotel, but it felt very safe. Would definitely recommend this to everyone who wants to visit Bacalar.

I really liked the decor and design of this hotel. The room and bathroom were a good size and smelled fresh and clean. Nice bed sheets and towels. The bathroom has a couple wires strung up which is handy for drying swimsuits and other clothes. The shower itself would benefit from a little shelf for shampoos etc. Breakfast has a few different options on the menu, but the real stand-out for me were the little artisan jams - really delicious, with a few different flavours to try. It's near lots of good restaurants (I enjoyed Xoloitzcuintle taco bar, Pizzería el Nonno, and Tenek) as well as the ecopark/boardwalk and a public access point to the lake. The hotel itself is quiet, but Bacalar as a town is NOISY at night - not because it's a party place, but because everyone has yappy dogs and lots of people keep chickens, and contrary to what movies would have you believe, roosters don't just crow when the sun comes up, they go off at all hours. Take advantage of the free earplug jar at reception!

Clean room, personnel was attentive, breakfast was delicious and included fresh orange juice, assorted fruits, coffees of every kind plus your choice of one entree from menu, which is included with room price. It is walking distance to the lagoon and great restaurants and nightlife, including restaurants with live music and dancing. Good price for a cute place. Not luxurious but clean and economical.

Excelente relación calidad-precio, combinando comodidad, buena ubicación y un servicio atento, lo que lo convierte en una opción recomendable para quienes visitan Bacalar.Las habitaciones están bien equipadas y ofrecen un ambiente acogedor para los huéspedes. El hotel cuenta con una piscina al aire libre rodeada de vegetación, ideal para relajarse después de un día explorando la zona. Además, se ofrece un desayuno gratuito.

Quel dommage ! L'hôtel est bien situé, il est joli et on a été particulièrement bien accueillis par Maria jeune française sympathique... Mais ce sont les détails importants qui tuent ! Si vous voulez qu'on fasse votre chambre il faut le dire au petit déjeuner. Le beurre est servi dans des boîtes en bois, exposé à la chaleur et pas au frais, résultat il est rance mais il paraît que c'est normal... Le yaourt en carafe posé comme ça dans un bol de glaçons. 3 jours sans piscine, visiblement ils n'ont pas trouvé la compétence pour la rendre utilisable. Au chapitre piscine, transat dégueulasses et qui puent on ose pas se mettre dessus. La chambre est correcte, attention au coffre fort qui ne fonctionne pas toujours et pas de notice. Bref, de nombreux points de détail à améliorer !

Wij zijn in Juli 2023 naar Agam Hotel gegaan. Het verblijf opzich was best oké, maar het contact als je ze nodig heb is echt verschrikkelijk. Wij hadden via het hotel een padelboard tour geboekt, waar ook foto's gemaakt zouden worden. Deze zouden wij de volgende dag krijgen, na 2 dagen contact opgenomen met het hotel en met Adventure Lab met de vraag of we de foto's nog krijgen. Na wat vage antwoorden is het sindsdien helemaal stil vanaf de kant van het hotel en Adventure Lab. Wij vermoeden dat ze de foto's per ongeluk hebben gewist en dit niet durven te zeggen. Helaas is onze ervaring met Agam daarom echt ronduit slecht te noemen.
