Know what you are getting into. The Delta is new, it has 20 (yes, twenty) beautiful pools including a number of hot jacuzzis that are really nice and in great condition. There are lots of young families with kids, and three pools with water slides are dedicated to them. Also a river run with inner tubes for everyone .
The room was the nicest I have enjoyed in Puerto Vallarta. Lots of movie channels on the TV. The service and food is good and the staff are very nice.
The hotel runs down inside a valley so there are no views and no nice sunsets, you can't see the ocean. Anywhere you go within the resort you will be walking uphill to your room, although there are electric shuttles and people happy to take you where you want to go.
The resort is very isolated, a $40 USD cab ride from anywhere, and a mile and a half from the beach. There is an hourly shuttle by van to the beach, the beach house is nice and the food is really good there, but the beach itself is rocky and not very nice. There is nowhere you can take a long walk on the beach and the neighborhood around the beach is not particularly nice. It all closes at 6 so you can't have supper there and watch a sunset.
There is just one specialty restaurant, a Japanese one, with a good show by the chef and a single menu.
The buffet is closed at lunch and there is a snack bar to eat at, but no desserts are available.

Delta hotel by Marriott is just an okay hotel. Two biggest negatives about this hotel is its location and choices of food. The hotel is quite remote and it does not offer transportation to any of the activities sites. It also doesn't offer airport pick-up and drop-off. The restaurant choices are also limited.
The resort does have a number of pools, Jacuzzis, a lazy river and a kids water slides.

My family, husband and two sons ( 17,13) just returned from a 6 night stay. Absolutely beautiful! The staff were so great! Accommodating, friendly, and fun! The pools were great! Breakfast and dinner at the buffet, food was decent, better than I thought it would be for an all inclusive. The hibachi was SO GOOD and fun! Service everywhere was really great. Our room was nice and the beds were comfortable. They have a taco truck at night and my boys went every night and some nights they show movies outside. We had a wonderful week at a beautiful resort. Can’t wait to go back!

Holtel, service, installation and overall the holtel was pretty good. Drinks where amazing but foods was horrible. Bad quality and not a lot option for my son and I since we are vegan.

I was travelling with 2 kids and elderly. I requested interconnecting rooms which was not provided. The golf card service was terrible. it is not equipped for older people.

Our experience here was excellent from check-in to check-out. All staff were friendly and always offering to help. They all seemed genuinely happy to be working for this resort.
The property is beautiful! Everything is kept immaculately clean. There is a bit of uphill walking at times, but it was always enjoyable seeing and hearing the various birds, and occasionally spotting iguanas and geckos. One night we even saw a Mexican raccoon. Virtually every time we walked golf cart drivers offered us a ride if we wanted it.
The room was perfect and the bed comfortable. Things never really got very noisy at the pools, but we still appreciated the very solid sliding patio door. Once that was closed the room was so quiet. The fan and air conditioning were quiet too.
Food and drinks were consistently very good. Given the smaller size of the resort we never experienced any significant waits at the buffet. During a couple of breakfasts we got the impression that they were somewhat short-staffed, as it took longer for the buffet to be replenished and the serving staff were scrambling to stay on top of clearing tables and serving customers. We nevertheless got all the coffee and refills that we wanted in a timely manner. I didn't get names of our various servers but they were all great.
The food at the beach club was exceptionally good, as was the service we had from Alejandro. The beach shuttles went more frequently than the published schedule.

Very relaxing spot away from the towns. We have two young boys (4 & 2) and they had a blast at all the pools, water slides, and the lazy river. Jose the lifeguard was amazing with the kids! For the price you pay, this is a good place to go relax. They also have a beach club they transport you to and from down at the ocean. They serve food and drinks there as well.

This property was great. Its clean and beautiful. Super quiet and the small well heated pools were awsome for our 3 year old. Also the food was very good. But not a huge variety. The beach was ok. The sevice was very good. But we had to adjust to later meal times as our 3 year old is usually up early. Also the outdoor kids movies at night were great.

The food needs to improve some days were greate but others were bad. The time to the buffet needs to improve there is only breakfast and dinner but not lunch during lunch time there are only some snacks. Also the pantry is very very bad
