Positives first, we were running late arriving to the motel so the lady at the front desk waited past their office closing hours to make sure we got our keys.. so nice! Our room had 4 sets of clean towels, and once we turned our a/c on, it ran well. Our room was also very quiet considering every room was booked during our stay. This motel is very rundown. It is past the point of just adding paint, or changing out linens to make it better. It needs a complete overhaul. Even though the room seemed relatively clean, it was hard to tell because of the state of the room and furnishings. The beds are old and very used. The pillows are very thin and there is one per person if you are sleeping two to a bed. The sheets are very thin and when you get into bed the bottom sheet pulls up to expose the mattress. The top blanket is one I imagine (I don’t know for sure) is never changed, and the one below it had a large round dark stain on it. The lighting is low and the lamps are all old and in poor condition with old wiring and very loose sockets. The sink and light switches were damaged. The door only has a knob lock and an old school chain… didn’t give much of a sense of safety/security. The room smelled of mildew and incense. My clothes smelled of this the following day when we left. Neither the air conditioning or fridge were turned on when we arrived. I recognize this is an econo motel and had a very low price. But I think it’s time to up the price slightly and start renovating and refurnishing rooms. I also realize I was only in room 124 and maybe other rooms aren’t as run down as this one was. However, I would not stay again to find out.
