Welcome to beautiful Sunset Mountain Lodge, a 3-bedroom (plus a loft), two-bath home, on a secluded six acres of property with stunning sunset views. The house is close to many area attractions, grocery stores, and great restaurants, with downtown Spruce Pine and Burnsville nearby. This is the perfect mountain getaway!The space:There are two bedrooms on the main floor (one with a king bed and the second with a queen bed), a loft area with two twin beds, and a room downstairs with a queen bed. A full bathroom is on the main floor and a second full bathroom is downstairs.The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, utensils, and all the essential cooking items you’ll need; and a gas grill is also available for use. The dining area is large enough for eight people, with three bar stools for additional seating. The home has a gas log fireplace in the living room, and a fire pit outside for the best of both worlds. A hot tub that is regularly maintained and cleaned is on the downstairs patio.The house is peaceful and quiet, with the sound of nature all around you. There are hiking opportunities throughout the property, and even a creek just below the house that you can take a quick hike to and explore.And while it may feel like you are in the middle of nowhere while you are at the home, this mountain getaway is close to several nearby towns and attractions and is the perfect location for day trips to Mount Mitchell, Roan Mountain, Asheville, Linville Falls, and more. Use one of the two gas log fireplaces for a warm cozy evening or of if you prefer to gather around the massive stone firepit right outside. Enjoy the complimentary watercolor paints to add your own stone to the firepit or take it home to remember your trip. Sit on one of the covered porches on a swing or hike down to say hello to the neighboring property’s furry rescues. The cabin is complete with 4 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms and a pull out sofa to comfortably accommodate up 12 with 2 sets of bunk beds in one bedroom. Master bedroom on the main level and a second master bedroom upstairs as well as open loft bedroom with a queen bed and a sleeper sofa in the living room! There is an open floor plan with French doors leading to a large fully enclosed deck where you can sit and look at the rolling hills around you. Enjoy the large enjoy the covered patio with a large stainless steel WIlmington Grill for your outside meal preparation!Secluded and private but close to the Blue Ridge Parkway exit at Little Switzerland only 3 miles away! We now have wireless internet and left a monitor and printer on site for your use if you need to work while on vacation. We have both been on zoom meetings and had no issues with the wifi but do encourage you to try to unplug while you are there! So much to enjoy and now wifi too! Bikers welcome. Enjoy the large covered area to park your bikes while you enjoy an escape only minutes from the Little Switzerland Diamond Back exit! 9 miles to major shopping, 3 miles to closest restaurants and shops, 25 minutes to Burnsville and 15 minutes to Grassy Creek. If you are looking for a fun day trip you are only an hour from Ashville or Boone and less than that to Sugar Mountain! This centrally located hidden treasure will impress you! Highspeed Starrlink internet and an extra monitor and printer if you have to work while on vacation (but try to take time off to soak in the tranquility)!! We have also lowered our nightly rate to encourage smaller groups and families and then added a fee per person above 6. The cabin comfortably sleeps 10-12 but we wanted to make it available for smaller groups as well. Please understand there is now an additional charge for more than 6 people. The reason for this has to do with the amount of cleaning, linens, utilities, internet usage and general wear and tear.
