Siddhartha Ocean Front Resort & Spa Bali

Very pleasant vacation spent in this establishment. The arrival is worth it because after the flight, there are still more than 3 hours by car but afterwards we are in an oasis of calm. We dove a lot and were rather pleasantly surprised by the underwater flora and fauna; only small but very pretty and the muckdive are to be discovered if you are curious. The dive center is absolutely great with Sandra and Katarina as managers; we have rarely dived with supervision that is both so smiling and professional; what happiness! The bungalows are quality (recommend the “ocean front deluxe”) An effort could be made on the diversity and quality of food (breakfast, lunch and dinner); we eat but it’s not always very tasty

What a lovely place. The entrance is spectacular when you arrive and check in. We had a deluxe villa one back from the ocean front. Beautifully appointed with the exception of the safe as it is low down so you block the light and can't see inside without a torch. The bathroom is really spacious and also beautiful. We only stayed 4 nights and found the menu a bit limited as I dont eat fish or tofu. Only had one dish that we weren't happy with. If you like spicy ask for it spicy hot as the dishes are flavoursome but lacked the heat I was expecting for the local dishes. This has been the same everywhere we ate on this trip. After asking for spicy hot the dishes were great. Didn't do any tours just relaxed by the pool and snorkelled. Black sand and stones with limited coral but lots of fish and saw two turtles on the 1st snorkel. Diving was very interesting with lots of weird critters. The whole dive team were amazing. The whole site is really very well maintained and constantly too. Nothing looked dated despite it being 15 years old. Didn't use the spa or take part in the many free yoga sessions. We are planning to drop in again for a week when next in the area. Organised a transfer to the ferry at Padang bai for our next location in Gilli. Driver was very friendly and arrived early so we left early as we were ready. The roads are slow but the time suggested for departure byvreception when booking was perfect. Every staff member was very friendly and greeted us with big smiles. There is a happy hour at the bar from 6 to 7pm with 30% off and Komang makes a great Mai Tai. Be careful of the ramp by the bar as even when dry is slippery. There are also steps next to it. We loved Simba the cat too, so cute and was not begging for food. He only interacted with us as we kept calling him.

We had a fantastic stay at the resort. The staff and service was great, we enjoyed the food a lot and felt very well taken care of. The dive center which is directly located in the resort offered an amazing service. All dive guides did an amazing job to show us the beautiful underwater world. Thank you very much again for the amazing vacation.

Stayed here for 2 weeks mainly for the local diving. The resort was well presented and the cabins well set out, bathroom had both shower and "rain" effect, sleeping area large with window seating available and balcony in front which didn't feel overlooked. Dining area open design and tables looking out over the resort allowed a wonderful dining experience which coupled with the friendly and attentive staff provided one of the highlights of the trip.

Overall this was close to 5 stars, but not quite. On the plus side, the Oceanfront pool villa was very spacious and comfortable - the pool, the views - lovely. A few bits here and there looking a tad dated, but nothing major at all. A few minor points to improve: the pool pump cover was a bit of an eye sore and trip hazard, some nice coffee in the villa would have been appreciated.....get rid of the Nescafe sachets - horrible coffee and unecessary single use plastic which has otherwise been elimintaed from the resort which is great. A few places in resort could have done with a bit more lighting, and some of the bathroom facilities (dive centre and games room/gym area) needed updating. Food was great - quality and variety, and the special Balinese feast was fantastic and great value. We enjoyed the great range of cocktails at sunset as well. The yoga/stretch session were a great bonus. The gym was a bit limited, but nice to have something. The staff were all friendly and helpful, and the grounds kept immaculate. The dive operation was very well setup and run, and the diving good/as expected. The dive guides were v.patient and helpful. I did think some of the dives were a bit less fishy than last time I dived here....perhaps fishing activity during Covid has had some impact, or maybe it was just luck of the draw not sure, but still nice diving all the same.

We spent five wonderful days at the resort and were especially thrilled with the diving excursions. Special thanks to Ilze Grinvalde, our instructor, who took very good care of us! We felt very comfortable.
