The room is spacious but the hotel is far away from the market and activities but there is free transport. They give you only 2 water bottles per day and if you want more its too costly. The pool was clean and good. But bathroom needs more cleaning.

The villa was huge and comfortable but not very well maintained. we stayed in a pool villa but the pool is around 5 feet in depth. The entire place looks a bit rundown.Staff are not friendly or helpful. Trash was not cleared from the room although cleaning was done. The body wash was empty. Food is also substandard. We were glad to leave.

The hotel sits outside central Ubud - about 15 mins drive from the hustle and bustle, which to us was a positive. The entire hotel and grounds have a tranquil atmosphere. The pool villas are huge, with king 4 poster beds and a massive bathroom. The coveted terrace is generous, and the pool is a decent size. Our infinity pool and terrace had a view of the jungle, which was amazing at sunrise in particular. Staff are lovely and approachable, and everyone you pass greets you warmly. Breakfast had a vast choice, and everything was fresh and well prepared - including dinner and special events/menu nights. If you are able to walk up a flight of stairs, ignore the other reviews of people moaning about the size of the hotel grounds. Bugs were not a problem. Would go back!

What a Resort !! Luxury at its best !! We were a group of 40 people.The resort is located a bit far from the main city but still accessible. The property is so huge.The villas are just amazing! Out of the world feeling.Very luxurious and very huge. We stayed in a 2 Bedroom Pool villa.The ambience of the resort is too good.The restaurant also had some Indian breakfast options. The property is so huge .You have to go by buggy provided by them. Best part was they have free shuttles to the Ubud centre which is a very plus point . Definitely stay at this resort

What an amazing Villa... I have ever dreamt of it. It's a reality now. The villa is situated in most beautiful location of Ubud, in the slope of hill, facing the beautiful forest full of Coconut and banana trees. The villa is spreading a very large area with numerous individual Villas. The Villa you will enjoy for a lifetime memory. Each Villa comes with a private pool with amazing view, bath tub face open air, balcony facing amazing forest view and all amenities. Common pool is available to enjoy your stay. Locker is there. All staffs are very polite and friendly. They will help you in all aspects of your stay. Restaurant is available for all kinds of cuisines but Indian food is very very limited. Pool Breakfast is available. Local Cultural program organise in every Saturday and Sunday in the campus. Free shuttle available throughout the day to visit Ubud. Rental bike also available to roam around Ubud. All staffs are well trained facilitate all types of guests.

This is a 3 star hotel at best. Worst hotel we ever stayed at. This hotel put a dampener on our experience in Bali thus far. The room we paid for was a villa with an outdoor bath and shower cubicle. The shower cubicle was full of insects and critters and was similar to a shower from I'm a celebrity. Our room had 3 lizards, ants and bugs in the bed. This was the moment we decided to leave. The staff were particularly unhelpful and told us we are in a jungle and that was normal. Bugs in the bedsheet is not normal in any country. We left for a better hotel near Ubud central but will warn people please don't stay at this hotel. Poor staff and overpriced rooms filled with jungle residents...

for our 5th or 6th stay at the payogan, during these 9 days, everything was still wonderful: villa, calm, park, jungle view, and efficient staff, with a special mention to Kumba, waiter at the restaurant who is efficient, attentive, helpful...and multilingual, important to us!
