Exceptional bed and breakfast .Everything was faultless .Rooms very large ,very clean.Breakfast offers western or Thai food .Recommend Thai breakfast .Karan is a wonderful host whom goes out of his way to ensure you are welcomed and feel comfortable throughout your stay .Very lovely friendly neighbourhood with cafes/restaurants small walkable distance away .Train station walkable distance but free tuk tuk provided if required to the station .We would return and stay here again without hesitation .We stayed in a double deluxe room upper floor .Nice seating areas to sit outside .Plenty of supermarkets very close to property .Thank you to all at Focal Local for a memorable stay

To get the one downside out of the way first: Focal Local is not in the heart of the tourist attractions of Bangkok, but in a quieter area (all relative, you’re still in city after all). To mitigate this, they offer a free tuktuk to either the BTS skytrain or the main pier nearby (both are a 5min tuktuk ride or a15-20min walk away). What stands out at FL is the two things mentioned in the title: the staff couldn’t be friendlier or more helpful, and the attention to detail really stands out. They try to think of everything that’s helpful and make your stay the best they possibly can offer. Truly amazing imho. Just a lovely place, would obviously recommend and come again etc. Thank you all at FL for making our stay the best 🙏

We stayed here 4 nights at the beginning of our Thailand journey and loved it. The family running this place is super welcoming and helps with everything they can at any time. The rooms are very nice and the breakfast is excellent. We also liked the location a lot because it was a bit calmer but there is still a lot around. They also offer a lift by Tuktuk to the near ferry and Skytrain without extra charge. When we would come back to Bangkok we will definitely stay here again.

I loved staying at Focal Local. Location was great, given that public transport is near and the neighborhood is much quieter on this side of the river. The room was beautiful, clean and confortable, and the breakfast very good. But especially management was so nice and helpful in all ways, from giving directions, to finding in my room a packed breakfast with a beautiful farewell note the day I was leaving early in the morning. Highly recommend, and will surely go back my next time in Bangkok.

Our first trip to Asia, and this was our first place to sleep. The breakfast was superb! Eat the thai breakfast, not the western. It tastes so good. We were welcomed by the friendliest staff. They took great care of us. It felt like we were on a 5 star hotel. Never been to one, but we loved it. It was outside the main things in Bangkok, but it is just a little tuk tuk ride away. And then we got the pleasure to eat very good food for a very good price, and everyone is nice and welcoming in the area. We will come back next time we are in Bangkok!

The staff was so friendly and accommodating! They gave me lots of helpful tips and suggestions on what to do. They will arrange complimentary tuk tuk rides for you to get to the river. I had my “do not disturb” on my door one day and they left extra waters and toilet paper outside for me. I also had an early flight so they packed me a lunch the night before and left it in my fridge. The rooms were also super nice. The bed was super comfortable for me and I slept great every night. The shower water pressure was perfect and the shampoo and shower gel smelled really good. They also have complimentary tea, coffee and bottles of water in the room. They offer you a thai or western breakfast as well as a selection of fruit with juice and coffee/tea that is included. I got the thai breakfast every morning and it was really good! I highly recommended this hotel to anyone!

Such a lovely, friendly place to stay! Really really helpful owner who helped us with travel arrangements and gave us lots of useful tips. Lovely clean rooms. Amazing price. Nice breakfast. Couldn't fault it - thank you.

Wonderful stay! Very clean, delicious breakfast, staff couldn’t have been more helpful and kind. The Tim Tim available to sky train was nice, but we could also walk - took about 10 minutes. Highly recommend Focal Local!
