Ally's Bed&Breakfast,

This is a quaint hotel with nice people running the place. Our room was comfortable. It was next to the public space/ breakfast area so we heard everything from that area. That was pretty minor though. One major complaint was the shower floor was so slippery that both my wife and I almost fell several times. It was not safe. I need to get back to some positive points. We had a positive check in. The breakfast was good but make sure you get there early because they don’t add to what is put out. The staff helped us get a taxi. They stored our luggage past check out time. It’s a great location close to many things we wanted to see. There is a restaurant next door that had a wonderful peach spritzer. All in all, we are glad we stayed there.

I did not end up staying at this hotel due to travel restrictions during the pandemic. I booked a room through ********** and was not to pay anything until I arrived at the hotel plus could cancel up to 24 hours in advance. However Allys Guest House did charge my credit card over $200 without my consent soon after booking. I figured we would be staying there so I did not worry about it. Of course during the pandemic travel was restricted and I had to cancel. Numerous attempts to contact Allys went unanswered and of course no refund ever came. I contacted ********** many times as well and they were never able to do anything either. Disappointed that a hotel listed on ********** could take a persons money and not give it back.

Lovely quaint Bed and Breakfast / Hotel in the centre of Barcelona. well situated. Clean and comfortable with friendly helpful staff

We’d booked a transfer from the airport. They dropped us off on Passeig de Gracia (right by a landmark) and it was a straight 4 minute walk to Ally’s. We knew where the (unsignposted) entrance was because we’d looked at photos beforehand. The friendly building concierge directed us to the first floor. We checked in efficiently, paid city tax and were shown to our room which was ready for us. We had expected to store our luggage so this was a bonus. We had breakfast included in our booking. It’s served between 8:30-10:30am which may not suit all. You have to choose a time and it’ll be waiting for you at the table. Bear in mind that it won’t be a leisurely affair as someone else is probably due in your seat. It worked for us though. Our room - strangely with no number - was a double with balcony and entered directly off the breakfast room. We didn’t experience any disturbance because of this but I can imagine this would depend on your fellow guests. The room itself was smallish but didn’t feel cramped at all. There’s hanging space, bedside cupboards (no drawers), sockets each side of the bed, a small table and chair. Air con if needed. Table and chair on the balcony. The bathroom is fine - shower gel/hand wash/hair dryer provided. The shower was a good size, water pressure good and plenty of hot water. There’s an intermittent noise with both shower/loo when used. You get accustomed to it. The room was cleaned daily, loo paper replenished and fresh towels. You will hear your neighbours; you’ll definitely hear the bars below and the refuse collectors. This didn’t bother us as it kind of comes with the location we chose. Staff we encountered were fine. We were checking out very early so we let the housekeeper know we wouldn’t want breakfast and she confirmed what to do about the keys - you’ll have a bunch of 4 keys: room key, key to the apar**ent, two keys for the front door. They require a bit of jiggling till you’re used to it. Ally’s is in a great spot for shopping, land marks, public transport (e.g. Park Guell - you can get the 22 from de Gracia which will drop you pretty much outside and exit via the main entrance, walk straight down to the main road and the return bus stop is there. So much easier than directions I’d read which made it sound difficult). Sagrada Familia is an easy walk too. All in all we were happy with our choice for 4 nights. We were comfortable, felt secure, in a good area for us. We will visit again and wouldn’t hesitate to consider staying at Ally’s.

Dopo aver letto varie recensioni,penso che abbiano rinnovato questo posto. Oltre che essere vicino a molte attrazioni è anche vicino alla metro (Diagonal). La stanza è pulita e ben tenuta, con pulizia giornaliera. Personale gentilissimo che ci ha indicato anche il modo più veloce per raggiungere il posto. Inoltre il palazzo è anche fornito di portiere all'ingresso

Siamo stati in questa struttura per 2 giorni e non ci siamo trovati bene. La posizione è ottima per visitare Barcellona, in quanto vicino a diverse fermate di alcune linee della metropolitana, mentre la Sagrada Familia ed il Parc Guell si possono raggiungere a piedi. La camera era decisamente fatiscente, senza alcun armadio, e con degli infissi in legno deteriorato dal tempo e con un oscurante su un solo lato... malgrado la presenza di tv lcd, condizionatore e wifi funzionante, la camera ed il bagno andrebbero rinnovati completamente nell'arredamento, i letti andrebbero sostituiti così come gli infissi, veramente improponibili. La colazione è stata modesta, senza prodotti da forno freschi, tutto confezionato, e per un caffè espresso occorrono 50 centesimi di cialda! Nella saletta per la colazione ci sono 2 soli tavoli, pertanto, visto che il b&b ha diverse camere, ci si ritrova a fare colazione sullo stesso tavolo con altri ospiti della struttura... in tempi di covid è assurdo! Questa struttura non è consigliabile, e la si può apprezzare solo per la posizione, mentre per tutti gli altri aspetti è decisamente scadente.

Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Doppelbett und eigenem Bad. Alles nicht gross aber Ok für einen kurzen Städtetrip, da man sowieso nicht viel Zeit im Zimmer verbringt. Das Frühstück war ebenso minimalistisch. Das Personal konnte leider nicht gut Englisch aber man konnte sich dann doch irgendwie verständigen. Klimaanlage war ein Hit da die Fenster in einen Kücheninnenhof führten. Die Lage war top, viele gute Lokale in unmittelbarer Nähe ebenso die Metro.

Een goede eenvoudige schone kamer. Airco op de kamer en verwarming aanwezig. Wel wat gehorig, maar als je moe bent hoor je weinig. Lekkere ruime bedden met harde matrassen Wij hadden een klein wc en douche. Service was prima. Elke ochtend een ontbijt en handdoeken. Voor de prijs prima allemaal. Bushalte voor de deur en de metro een klein stukje lopen.

Séjour fantastique, l’hébergement à proximité du bus et du métro quartier calme très bonnes adresses de restauration a proximité. Vraiment excellent.
