Beautiful Wales

Holiday with the dogs by the sea. My husband found this property on Facebook and was immediately convinced that this was the destination for us. We booked and chatted in advance with Jan about car charging locations and shopping deliveries and it was clear that our hosts would go out of their way to make us comfortable. After we arrived this continued and nothing was too much trouble. The barn is perfectly sized for 2 and has all of the amenities you could want. We both loved the wet room and shower. The decking was fabulous in the evening to sit and soak up the last of the sun and enjoy the view of the sea. You can try and spot dolphins on a clear day. This is the perfect base for many walks, pubs and towns. Most days we had the beach to ourselves. The dogs are still pooped. Don’t be put off by the lack of reviews. I suspect this is because it’s Beautiful Wales rather than Penty Buwch. The visitors book is full of glowing holiday reviews from people who visit over and over. They are nice to read and we added thanks for our time well spent. Thank you Jan and Mick for letting us share your farm for the week.

Booked a few days here from 7th to 10th 2024 may and what a lovely experience only wish we had booked for longer (back home tomorrow) Amazing sea views, lovely cottage, peaceful and tranquil, can’t wait to come back. Highly recommended, so happy we came here. Nice friendly welcome from Mick and Jan. Going to miss the chickens they have become little friends. Beautiful clean beach and really quiet. Visit to Harlech castle only 10 miles away worth a visit. Do not hesitate to book here I wouldn’t say it if it wasn’t worth it. A real gem of a place.

Delightful accommodation in peaceful surroundings enabled us to have a wonderful break in Barmouth. We stopped in Penty Mochyn for a week in mid-January, and had a great time. We were provided with informative correspondence prior to our arrival by our hosts Jan & Mick, who were genuinely friendly and welcoming. They were so helpful with advice on local amenities and places to visit - including the shortcut directly to the beach! Our holiday barn was first-class, spotlessly clean, modern and relaxing; the view out to the sea was superb. We enjoyed an excellent holiday and Penty Mochyn is definitely highly recommended!

Had a fantastic stay. Great welcome and owners who go out of their way to make sure you have a great experience. Really well equipped accommodation and fantastic views. Easy walk to beaches/ shops along the promenade - we were lucky enough to see dolphins swimming by as we wandered :). Will 100% return.

Really enjoyed our stay . A big thank you to Jan and Mick for their hospitality. The accommodation has everything we could possibly need. A excellent location nestled in the hillside over looking the sea. The horse sheep and chickens were a joy to watch not forgetting Snoop Dora and Sid. Easy access to Barmouth which certainly has much more to offer than it used to. And have to mention the Norbar restaurant three minutes up the road, a real hidden gem. Can’t wait for February for our return visit.

A Beautiful quirky location . We really enjoyed our visit, it ticked every box for us. The apartment is very well equipped and we had a very comfortable sleep. I loved waking up to the amazing sea views as well as the horses popping their heads over the fence to say hello in the morning. A lovely relaxing escape from the every day hustle and bustle.

What an utterly beautiful place, with absolutely lovely owners. If you’re looking for a hub to explore from then come back to stunning views, this is it. I was so impressed with the owners attention to detail - all our needs and wants were met, the house was immaculate and they don’t charge extra for 2 or less dogs! We also really loved the horses, ducks, chickens, dogs and sheep!

If your thing is to waste your money staying some where you are made to feel totally unwelcome by the rudest people to ever have the cheek to call themselves hosts, then this is definitely the place for you. We all left days before the end of the week, as this is definitely not the standards we are used to. Would not recommend if they were offering free holidays.
