Located in Barra do Pirai, about 120 km from Rio de Janiero, Aldeia das Aguas Village was founded in 1994 as a swimming pool complex, with approximately 45,000 square meters of built area. Just three years later, in 1997, the structure was expanded and became the largest water park in Rio de Janeiro with the inauguration of the wave pool, Kid's Place & the Running River.
