This place is situated in a village on the edge of Glasgow with nearby train access to the big city. It's a lovely house with lovely people. Sure there are dogs but they become your best friend as soon as you pet them. The rooms are clean and attractive. My bed was super comfortable and room was spacious but the best part is the owners are super cool and helpful. Walking around the local village of Barrhead I soon learned that good people are easily found. My Mom is Scottish and she often said how warm the community and people were in the Glasgow she grew up in during the 1940s/50s. I can now see why as you can really feel that community vibe here. It still exists! The owner of the Emo recommend the local "Brig pub" telling me it was a friendly place and good times but I was so sleep deprived and will have to check it out next time. I guess if you wanted to get a feel for Scottish local culture and the truly awesome people, Barrhead and the Emo are the perfect place.
