The Windsor Townhouse Air Conditioned Rooms

The location was good. There were less amenities. The room was little small.

There was nowhere to hang any clothes. The cups where not cleaned after use.

Friendly welcome, explained how to work the door entry. Top floor Room was adequate, loft room, bed lamps and a table lamp, blind stuck so couldn’t drop or raise it. Air con in room which was helpful as it was super hot. Plenty of sockets. Fridge, microwave, iron/board, hairdryer. Considering staff don’t stay there, more tea coffee sugar would be welcomed as no one to ask after they lock up and go home. Clearly paying this price to be central, it should say in the ********** write up that they add on 10%. I received this information by email prior to arrival. It was not mandatory so I didn’t pay it. The parking charge was £18 10 min walk away so that was my 10%. Breakfast was very nice, easy checkout.

Unfortunately, our room was in the sub basement, which was very damp. There were no washcloths available in the bathroom and there were no trashcan liner so we couldn’t even use the trash cans. Unfortunate because it’s a beautiful building.

I contacted the hotel after leave and showed th all photos and they never responded! Bath was dirty under the bed was filled with cobwebs and dust Pillow cases badly torn, stains everywhere and they never even replied to how bad is was Just can’t belive it is a 5 star when we got no signs that it was.. Really really poor

The building is gorgeous, and our room was well-heated with a peaceful view over a quiet field. The location is excellent, just a five-minute walk from Bath city centre, and the receptionist was very friendly. However, our experience was let down by unexpected extra charges. A 10% service charge was requested at checkout, which should have been clearly included in the room price. Similarly, although the listing advertises a “superb breakfast included,” the included option was only a bacon/sausage roll, with a full English costing £10 extra. The lack of upfront pricing transparency soured an otherwise lovely stay.

The rooms are very clean and the staff are very friendly. Walking distance to all attractions.
