First, the good stuff. The kids' splash pad and lazy river were a hit with the little ones, and the beach was beautiful. A little loud at times with the music, but that’s just not our thing. The pools were also well-maintained and provided a great setting for some family fun.
Now, the not-so-great parts. The pull-out mattress, which my son slept on, was in an appalling state - resembling a prop from a crime scene due to its extensive staining. The air conditioning was also malfunctioning, forcing us to make a choice between enduring the discomfort of no air conditioning or subjecting ourselves to a chilly 14 degrees. However, after being relocated to a different room (on our second last day), things improved.
Before our trip, I requested a crib which seemed to be a significant challenge, but eventually we were able to secure one. It's worth noting that the cribs are relatively small.
Let's talk about dining. The buffet offered plenty of options but could get quite busy, with slow service and limited opening hours that made it tricky, especially with little ones. Note: Nothing is open except a coffee shop from 10:30am-12:00pm.
As for the other dining options, there were issues with long lines, repetitive food selections, and even a missing pizza grill – despite thorough inquiries!
On top of that, there were unanticipated additional charges and persistent attempts to promote the diamond club upgrade, which didn't exactly add to the overall enjoyment of the trip.
