Badry Sahara Camp

Everybody was very helpfull and very welcome. The meals were very good and also they helped us with our special request because of conditions. They were very understanding. We slept under the stars and you really need to do at least once in your life time. The white in de dessert look like snow and the sunset and sunrise were very beautiful.

Very welcoming and helpful. The places to sleep are Cozy. The desert trip with our local guide was very interesting. They also helped us with the local transport.

Great stay in the white desert. Badry and his team proposed an unforgettable and tailor made trip. We could only do 1 night, but they made it work. Departure from Cairo at 7:00 am, back the next day by 17:00… And this without feeling rushed… we have enjoyed all the sites…

If you're looking for a cozy bedouin accommodation experience, this is the most convenient place to stay in Bawiti. If you prefer A/C and room service, what are you even doing in the desert? You won't regret coming here, as it is located right where the palm fields border the desert, making it a perfect basecamp for trips to the local sights. Even on foot you can quickly reach hot/cold springs, the black mountains and the salt lake. Everything is accessible, the local farmers speak some english too and so even if you didn't book a big desert tour, you can just hike around the oasis to your hearts content. One day I borrowed their bicycle and explored the surroundings (asking random motorbikes to pull me along). The owner, Badry, is an amazing host, I arrived with minimal resources and he made sure I had a good time nonetheless. He's also well respected by the community in Bawiti, as he's the de facto political leader in the region, so he will be able to answer even your most complex questions (him and his staff speak perfect english). Whenever I told someone that I'm staying with Badry, their faces lit up! Truly a stop you shouldn't miss on your Desert Safari.

We are from Spain. We have made a family trip (3 boys) with Badry and we had one night in the dessert. It was one of the best experiences we ever had. There are no words that can fully describe it, everything was beyond our expectations and Badry is an exceptional host and person. I would personally recommend anyone this experience. Very original place :) Badry made us feel literally like home I travelled with my family (4 people total) and it was really nice to be welcomed with a tasty healthy meal and a bonfire. We were in Cairo and Alexandría before and this was such a contrast... you feel in nature all of the sudden. It's a calm pure place The facilities are basic (camp style), huts are very cute and there´s some tables and common spaces that you can use freely (read, sit...). Just as the pictures shows We just spent one night in the camp as we went to the dessert for the rest of the days (Badry organized everything so you just have to let him know what kind of saffari/trip you want to do) For us the most remarkable thing was the closeness, the warm family feeling that we had while there (before and after as well) and this calm feeling of nature and simplicity that comes with the lifestyle you can do while there

We spent one night in Badry's camp and one night in the white desert. Everything went smoothly and was well prepared. The desert trip was great. We admired amazing landscapes, life in the desert and enjoyed the sunset. Hamosh is an excellent driver and a talented cook. Badry and Hamosh showed us hospitality and kindness. We wholeheartedly recommend this company.

We are visiting Egypt for a week and our guide organised for us to visit for 2 days. It was a 4 hour drive out to Cairo, to Bahariya Oasis. Upon arrival we were treated so well at this place, with tea and a delicious lunch before heading out in the 4x4. We headed south for hours exploring and stopping at sites like the black desert, crystal mountain and white desert. It was a lot of fun driving off road. As the sun got low our guide took us to a traditional tent way out in the white desert and it was the best evening. How he cooked such good food in the desert I don’t know. But we sat by the fire until we went to bed in our tent under a clear sky. Although cold in the desert, the camp was well equipped with bedding and blankets. Overall we had the best authentic experience and wholeheartedly recommend it for the fun off roading, great food, awe-inspiring camping and unbelievable scenery

An incredible out of this world experience for our family! We have camped at many national and state parks in the USA but none of it compares to the experience of camping overnight in the white desert. Mohammed and Tamar were fabulous and made us a delicious dinner and breakfast. They played music for us over the campfire while we joined and clapped and Danced. I have no doubt that our kids ranging in age from 19-26 will remember this experience for the rest of their lives. Watching the sunset and sunrise over the desert sky was a once in a lifetime experience. Can not recommend enough
