Donkin Country House

Donkin House is a lovely place and a perfect stopover en route to Cape Town. Central. There is a bit of road noise at night but you do become accustomed to it. The self-catering options are adequate and have all the basic amenities you would require. Pleasant surroundings and secure parking.

You get what you pay for. A good overnight stay on a long trip. The check-in was easy, room was clean and bed comfortable. There is an option to book meals at the property if you want to make use of this.

I was so thankful and impressed with the accommodation at Donkin House. Their pet-friendly had an area for our puppy to play outside and the bedroom had enough room for us to put up his crate which he slept in for the night. Clean showers, clean kitchen and bedding! Overall, very happy with the stay and the service.

Is really unnecessary to want and see payment text on customer's phone while they already made it online. Breach of privacy. Next time please have more human ways to confirm such things. But otherwise not a worst place.

Best place to stay at Beaufort West. Room was very clean. Nice hot water in bathroom. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast tasty as ordered. Secure parking. I can 100% recommend Donkin Country House.

The start to make a booking for a group of mens and ladies netball teams of which the numbers changed constantly. Any facilities nightmare. The lady, named Paige was brilliant, she responded immediately to queries, changes in numbers and was throughout the process friendly. I cannot thank her enough. When we arrived late at night, she was there sorted the players and rooms. One important aspect, the rooms are clean, the grounds and facilities are clean and the ladies in charge of the rooms friendly. Breakfast was made in the morning and sufficient. Daphne the owner, thank you, your establishment was a pleasure to deal with and the stay memorable.

We booked online. The booking experience was very good and efficient. We received a clean room. All that we needed for our one night stayover. Staff was friendly and can recommend the breakfast that we received the next morning in the restaurant.

I've booked at Donkin again, because it used to be a good place to stay over. I was extremely disappointed in the overall maintenance of the place. (The gardens are still very well maintained.) The rooms are poorly maintained, with mold in the shower, water marks on the ceiling from roof leaks in the past. The restaurant used to provide good quality food and now it is barely mediocre. The mattress should have been replaced a while ago and the WiFi is terrible.

top of my list when i journey back home to Capetown.Central to garages and restaurants and bonus feature is the pool! One area of improvement - please replace the coffee sachets from ricoffy to Nescafe
