This is why you shouldn’t book a small boutique hotel in China. READ BEFORE you book!
Their main selling point is their “hot spring water”, for the price you can easily get a proper hotel like holiday inn.
So on my second night, there is no hot water at all. I realised that in the morning, but I was rushing out so I didn’t ask the hotel why. I left the hotel at 11.30AM and came back at 11pm.
I then realised there is still no hot water to bath or fill up the bathtub.
So I called the front desk, they said they can’t do anything, and can only offer 20% refund.
It’s unacceptable so I chat up with trip.com, and the hotel said if guest wish for full refund, they have to check out by 12am. See screenshot. In other words they are trying to chase me out.
If I knew, their hot water issue will not be resolved, I would have check out at 11am, cancel the second night and get a refund.
But the hotel was being super passive about it, I have a China HP number, but nobody called throughout the day to update this issue.
I don’t think it’s a small issue like “no slipper” or “no shampoo”
It’s water supply, especially they brand themselves as a hot spring hotel.
All in all the hotel toilet is not well maintained, the photo you are seeing now are back in 2017.
