The staff kept pestering us to pay more deposit, even after my friend paid all the deposit for our entire stay for two bookings as she checked in first. Even when I checked in they asked me to pay more deposit, but staff couldn’t tell me why. They pestered me again later to still pay more and also asked my friend to do the same. My friend spoke Serbian and managed to speak to the manager whom finally told his staff that we have receipt of our full deposit and finally let it go.
Then again at checkout, they told us the payment hasn’t gone through from the third party agency even though I prepaid in full on Trip.com. They made me call Trip.com to then contacting this third party agency to release the money to the hotel. This then led me to be late for my transport to airport and having a ripple effect on everything for that day.
I will never use Hilton Hotel to stay in Belgrade anymore, the constant pestering and experience with the staff has left a very bad impression and taste in our mouths. Specially if they only listen to someone whom spoke Serbian.
I highly stress to stay somewhere else and avoid the headache of using Trip.com for Hilton Hotel in Belgrade as you won’t know which third party agency they would have booked through. Specially if you don’t speak Serbian, even though the staff speak good English, but can’t seem to see eye to eye if it’s not in Serbian.
