Lovely clean hotel. Staff friendly. Price was less than half what others were charging for a Saturday night. Worried it might reflex in the stay but no! We were not disappointed! Would stay again.

A quiet location close to Durham City. Staff very friendly and efficient. It was busy but there was no queues at reception. Beefeater next door served good breakfasts.

Wanted a weekend away with friends and Durham looked a lovely place, booked this hotel as not far out of town, good bus route only 10-15 minutes walk away, also we found the hotel very nice, staff were very friendly and helpful and onsite amenities were great, would use this hotel as a base again anytime, also great nights sleep with a comfy bed:)

stayed at this hotel in the past excellent price offer on this occasion stay was perfectly fine hotel/rooms could do with an update as its starting to show its age now staff excellent and room was warm enough

We stayed at the hotel because we had a sporting activity at Durham University. This is not an expensive hotel but had everything we needed. The food was good quality and breakfast was lovely. The thing that we liked the most was how friendly and helpful the staff were.

Amazing hotel. Staff were wonderful; friendly, caring and genuine. Hotel was clean, and the restaurant next door served a fantastic breakfast. It's well located for the motorway. Only downside is a lack of decaf tea, but appreciate this is a franchise issue.

Excellent hotel, good location for visiting local attractions. Staff extremely helpful and friendly.Superb Beefeater restaurant located next door. Well worth purchasing the meal deal for breakfast and evening meal.

We stayed for 3 nights and had a wonderful relaxing time. The room was clean, the bed was really comfortable and lived upto expectation. The staff were brilliant and nothing was too much trouble. The food was really good value and there was plenty of choice.

As I can't mange the stairs and there is no lift, I phoned prior to my arrival to request a ground floor room. On arrival I was allocated a first floor room. Makes me very cross as I had specifically requested a ground floor room. Lovely lady on reception sorted it for me though.
