Quarto bom, cama confortavel, mas um pouco escuro, basico sem muita decoracao ou amenities. A recepcionista me cobrou duas vezes e tive que receber reembolso apos a estadia. Localizacao é otima, perto de varios restaurantes e shoppings.

This week in Belo Horizonte has been extremely hot and over 35C. I decided to find a hotel with a pool and went to the Mercure Lourdes. When
I explained to the receptionist that I was looking for a pool to cool down, he told me I would to book a room however there was nothing available. I then opened the ******* app on my phone while standing in front of him and made a reservation. He then told me the room’s air conditioner didn’t work and only the fan would come on (no cold air) I agreed in any case as I re-explained I only wanted to use the pool. After taking my passport to make a copy for checkin purposes he then gave me a key to access the elevator only. When I got to the pool area, I found that it was indoors and with 4 solid walls and a ceiling. After telling the receptionist my want for a pool, I expected he would have told me it was indoors. Frustrated I decided to leave only to remember he did not return my passport. I returned desk and asked a different receptionist about my passport. He looked at me like I was crazy in that they did not return my passport. I asked him to check again and he found it laying in the photocopier and sheepishly handed it back to me. I took my passport and with no words left the hotel; retuned to the Novotel where I am staying and happier. I do have a recommendation and it is to be very cautious if you select this property. Buyer beware is an understatement.
