Magic Cristal Park

Overall a fantastic place to stay, staff were friendly and I could not complain about the service either. The hotel was a little dated and a little dirty, however that did not affect my stay at all. No complaints either about the food and drink choices, being on an all inclusive holiday that is always important and passed the test for sure! We were visiting for the half marathon - it was a great location for that event as was right next to the race village and the finish line. My bathroom bidet was put in a strange place and affected my leg room on the toilet which along with the cleanliness and dated décor of the hotel in places prevented me from giving a this a 5 star review. I have attached a picture of the Bidet. Overall though - well done and thumbs up for sure.

We always book this hotel on a all inclusive service. Arrived with friends, smooth efficient check in service. Nothing any trouble for the staff. Rooms excellent, Daily room service maid and towels changed daily, Great location on Edge of Old Town. Food is brilliant, something for everyone, soups, mains, fruits & cakes, the bar tends to get busy but the staff work do very very hard non stop to serve everyone thank you to the bar staff. Great value. Apologies the reception staff we all know as 'Miss Columbia' not the lady's real name, superb professional front of house receptionist, exceptional, professional and immaculate, always a delight to see this wonderful young lady, keep up the great work everyone and see you soon, stay safe.

The hotel was both disappointing and not worth the money at all. 9 of us went, and we had booked 3 of the same rooms. 3 younger kids aged 2, 4 and 5. They found to hotel as boring and disappointing as we did. We are not ones to ever complain, we are very understandable when it comes to these situations but this one definitely deserves an honest review. THE ROOM: The rooms were all meant to have 2 double beds and a sofa bed, but one of them only had the two double beds. Wasn't a huge problem but you'd think you get what you paid huge money for. The rooms were definitely not as described or pictured. One of the rooms air conditioner did not work at all, and at first before it gave out completely it smelled of mould. The sofa bed in this room had no bedding, and had hair on it. The bathtub was painted over with white paint, the door in the bathroom was very creaky and the lights were way darker than in the other two rooms. The second room did not have much problems, however the balcony and the room separating doors barely opened, and would sometimes get completely stuck. The room cleaning service was probably the only good service provided by the hotel, no complains about them they always left the room looking clean and would come back later if you decide to stay in in the morning. THE FOOD: The food was well disappointing. The menu was very Spanish like, and we are not picky eaters at all but the food definitely not look appealing. They say there is a kids menu but anytime we ate there there was only chips for the kids, never seen any nuggets or pizza or any sort of kiddy food. Sometimes the food was clearly not fresh and probably used from the day before. The only good thing about it was the breakfast pastries, which sometimes seemed not fresh too. The breakfast was always cold. THE POOL: The pool was okay, it never had a lifeguard which wouldn't be a problem however it was deep and there was small kids using it. We liked the fact it was indoor, however the kids area and pool on the roof was closed which wasn't very convenient, We had called before booking our holidays and asked whether the kids pool and play area will be open and were guaranteed it would be, but when we arrived we had to find out ourselves that in in fact was not. You would think they would have some sort of shallow kiddie pool indoors as well for when the outdoor one isn't available. THE STAFF: The staff were not very helpful at all. They barely spoke English and when we had a question about the free tickets to Terra Natura that came with our plan they told us to come back in the morning when the manager was there because the receptionist didn't know how to do it? On our first day, there was a problem and they didn't let us have food, so we had to go back upstairs and wait for our turn to get it sorted. There was only 2 members of staff who were generally really nice and helpful, Mauricio and one of the entertainment girls with the black half braided hair(Didn't catch her

On arrival our first impression of our room was it stank of sewers which I think is coming from the bathroom, the bath had hairs in it and some hairs on the bathroom floor and a rusty shower. There's hairs on the couch beds which had no bedding either we had to ask for some. Beds right next to windows which open really wide so that's dangerous for children. They have 1 pool which isn't suitable for small children as the shallowest end is 120cm so it's no good to us. They have a paddling pool with the slide but it isn't open which my kids were looking forward to going in so that's disappointing. No entertainment for kids whatsoever and the only entertainment is from 10pm in the 'magic cafe bar'. This really isn't a place to bring children. Food not too bad but it doesn't look appetizing to be honest and the bacon is just fat and chewy. I don't think we'd return to this hotel again.

Decent enough hotel,rooms were cleaned daily,beds and pillows were comfortable,one side of hotel the rooms have balcony’s,whilst the other has just a window,so luck of the draw I suppose which room you get,the hotel roof terrace was nice but found the 1 euro charge for a cup a bit wierd plus the showing of a card to receive a drink( no wrist bands at this hotel)gets a bit frustrating when the bar staff clearly know your staying at the hotel,agree with other reviews about the hotel being full of Spanish oap,some were very rude and needed to learn manners work both ways,don’t think the hotel help when they try and segregate the Spanish and the British at meal times with different restaurants(food was the same in bot restaurants )lifts weren’t the best so if your on the high levels could be a bit of a wait

Avoid this hotel the roof bar staff are so rude awful manner. Reception staff friendly and helpful we bought the bottle for 5 euro instead of the 1 euro re usable cup they wouldn't put our Pepsi or orange juice into the bottle. Food in restaurants very repetitive I would hate to stay longer than 2 nights. Hot tub on a timer for bubbles.

just got back from another great stay at the Cristal park, we keep returning every year and each time bring new friends who do the same. its clean friendly with helpful staff. we asked if possible for room 701 as we have used it before and they actually reserved it for us . perfect service. we found all the staff old and new to be hard working respectful and helping everyone to enjoy themselves. food as usual good choices and always something to eat, so once again a big thank you to all the staff for making it another great holiday from Justo greeting us and of cause Sonia in animation, Anita Juan, Catty, Claudia Mauricio and Darwin . see you all again soon

did not believe reviews worst hotel i have been to childrens area closed indoor heated pool freezing food un eatable example Breakfast slimy bacan all food was luke warm various microwaves to heat up food which to me is no go Evening meals were no better for example pigs trotter stew pigs arm pits chips cold Childrens meals example dry spagettie and chicken nuggets which were black inside hotel was full of spanish O A P's we found out they were given a free holiday and it looked like the food was catering for them we had to eat out a lot would not stay here again

We have just arrived home from Magic cristal and already want to book again.We enjoyed ourselves so much,the room was great and the bubbly was an added welcome for my friends Birthday.We loved the food,have eaten way too much,the drinks were typical of all inclusive ,my Husband loved the beer Amstel I think,the pool was a little too cold for me but we did venture in, the sun terrace was a welcome sight didn't realise it was so big.The entertainment in the magic cafe was wonderful,dancing every night,.people do moan about the spanish OAP's but we loved them ,they included us in their line dancing etc,really friendly and it is their country.The only thing I would point out is that the hotel doesn't have evening security and on our last night,there was a drunken aggressive WOMAN who was causing a problem ,asking for us to buy her drinks saying one had stolen her phone. ,and ruined our last night with our friends,9 of us, who all met up to celebrate 3 Birthdays,and although complaining to the staff nothing was done about it.We since requested to see the manager but put in a complaint,lets see if anything is done.Even the singer tried to stop her from harassing other guests.she was asked to leave but just came back. to annoy everyone.The police should have been called but wasn't. But that said it wouldn't stop us from returning and enjoying our time with our spanish friends who made us feel so welcome.The hotel is in a great location ,near everything if you want to venture out,we went to Altea and Albir on the bus,and walked to the Old and the New Town. Thank you all for making our break so wonderful,cant wait to see you all again
