Best hostel! I really enjoyed the environment of it, super clean and it has a vintage concept. The breakfast could be slightly better but overall can’t complain. And it is on the opposite side of a beach, in 2 mins foot you are there :) couldn’t ask for more

Great location near to the restaurants and bars.
Prepare well for the noise near around in the night. But of course you will be a night person when choosing this area.

Very nice stuff! Nice pool. There is a tablet tannins and they do a lot of activity! Very close to all the discos and pub’s.

A localização é excelente. Você consegue fazer muita coisa andando pela zona hoteleira. Perto de restaurantes, bares, principalmente de mercado e ponto de ônibus!

Mayan Monkey is a vibe! It definitely appeals to the yuppy, nomadic, solo traveler types. I stayed in a standard private room but I wish I booked the lagoon view. There’s also a hostel portion if that’s your thing. I love thé decor and the aesthetic of the hotel. The food and drinks are reasonably priced.
I do feel the check in process shouldn’t require you to download an app especially if you are already at the front desk. The establishment should continue to invest in maintenance and finishing of the property and rooms.
I gave Mayan Monkey a 4 because of the staff. There was an incident with a prepaid tour and the staff made it right. At the end, I’m a happy customer. I want to give a special kudos to Mata, Alexander, Daniel, Vavara and all the bar staff. Customer service and aesthetic is what put this place at a 4 for me. Thanks Mayan Monkey.

Loved everything about my stay here at the Mayan Monkey Hostel in Cancun. From the breakfast that’s made fresh, to the activities that they offer, among so much else. Definitely plan on staying again. Staff was great too!

Okay for a few nights in the hotel zone. Small pool and bar - but good vibe there. Check in/out staff unfriendly and unhelpful. Bar staff also a little dismissive. Breakfast was great - view from the pool area is wonderful. Good place for a few nights in Cancun - close to public beach access.
