Palazzo Rivola

We visited Bergamo for Liverpool v Atalanta, our stay in the old town was very nice. Daniele and Elisabeta were very helpful. This is an old building and did not have en-suite but had a separate shower toilet for each room across the hall. The location was perfect for the old town. A little high on price, breakfast very nice. Thanks

Palazzo Rivola is an excellent choice for your stay in Bergamo. The staff could not have been more helpful. Nothing was too much trouble, even helping with our heavy luggage. Our apar**ent in this historic building was super clean and comfortable. The breakfast hostess was very friendly and provided great service. The location is perfect for wandering this gorgeous town. Wish we had longer here, will just have to come back.

The apar**ent itself is amazing with some genuine old parts of the Palazzo preserved and some parts that were renovated around it. Located in the center of the old historical town this is a perfect short stay for being able to walk around in the medieval part of the city. The hosts were also super friendly and helpful and helped us all the way throughout our stay.

Excellent base for a city break in Bergamo. The hotel is in a quiet spot but very near the centre of this delightful Italian hill town. Some may have found our room (32) a little stark, but we loved the view towards the mountains and the space as it was quite large. The bathroom was fine too and everything was spotlessly clean. The bed was comfortable too having what felt like a memory foam mattress - a real bonus as we frequently find hotel beds too hard these days. Breakfast is self service but hot drinks and tips about what to do in the town) are provided by the exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. As with many hotels in Bergamo Alta, this is essentially a ‘bed and breakfast’; there is no reception desk. We were, however sent very clear instructions on how to access the hotel and obtain our room key once we had checked in on line before we travelled. Despite the lack of a manned reception desk, the hotel staff we spoke to were most friendly and helpful. A taxi was ordered when we left and the send off was one of the friendliest we could remember from any hotel.

Amazing location, nice room with a great view and very hospitable and responsive hosts. We stayed right in the heart of the old Bergamo, Citta Alta. Our hosts Daniele and Claudia were the most accommodating and helpful. We arrived in the car and the video provided by Daniele with direction to the hotel and parking was really helpful too.

The facility was nice, clean . The entrance and reception is contact less with no human involved. The communication with the host was excellent. The breakfast was very good. The only issue was the lack of elevator which makes it very difficult to go upstairs to 3rd floor with heavy luggage.
