You get what you pay for: that expression certainly fits staying in this hotel. Price was reasonable (as far as hotel prices in Bergen can be called that) but the hotel itself leaves much to be desired. First, let us take the good things; The room was spacious and very clean. Bathroom as well. Wifi worked well and breakfast was acceptable. Reception staff friendly and accommodating. The negatives were a few; The rooms lacked storage space with only one small place to hang your clothes, no drawers, no hooks in the bathroom, no water boiler or coffeemaker but a useful working desk. These are things you come to expect, even in basic hotels. The hotel offers no parking but has some reserved places in a packinghouse next door at Nok 180/night. Taste is of course not an objective criteria but the very special choice of wall patterns, floors, corridors and reception area did not meet our approval. Odd is an expression that comes to mind. In spite of these negatives, we recommend the hotel if you look for a reasonable stay in Bergen. One small, maybe controversial, remark; the reception staff could hardly speak in Norwegian. English flawless but shouldn´t staff in a Norwegian hotel speak the language?
