Sandy Glade Holiday Park

A lovely little get away for a reasonable price. We have been coming to Somerset for a few years now, but this was our first time staying at John fowler. For the price we paid, for 3 adults, 2 children and 2 pets, there’s not much to complain about. When arriving we were greeted by a lovely gentleman, I want to say his name was David. He checked us in, and explained everything to us, then whenever we saw him around the site, always said hello and was very friendly. We stayed in a pet value chalet, it was clean, tidy, and great for resting our heads. Another member of staff who was brilliant was Shelley on reception, she was such a sweetheart, and was brilliant when we decided to come back next year with basically the whole family. She booked our holiday, making sure we were all near eachother. A credit to the team. The site overall was lovely, swimming pool did the job, however the first time we went there was only one lifeguard, who left the pool unattended a couple of times. The second time there was 2 which was a lot better. The entertainment of an evening was great, I feel like they could do a bit more for children though as it didn’t seem like much. Overall we had a very lovely week, and look forward to coming back.

Sandy glade holiday park is a extremely friendly and welcoming place to stay in Somerset. The activities are brilliant for both children and adults. Nothing is to much trouble anyone who works there. The entertainment is very well planned and organised again for children and adults. Would definitely go back for another holiday also would definitely recommend to friends and family.

The whole site was spotless, accommodation was clean.the food outlet was really good and good quality at a reasonable price. Pool was clean and staffed with lifeguard.nice outside bar for a quiet drink away from all the families in the club. All round a good break at a nice price

Paid for Platinum plus for a little extra.. photos looks great in decor, bedding and wished for large decking with children.. space for 5 to eat outside. Got here to lower graded caravan decor and size and small decking with 4 chairs, only can sit 2 around table in space of small decking. Very disappointing. Staff very friendly but said have to speak to customer services and gave me email! Caravan clean and tidy but I paid for higher spec as seen in photos. Went to beach, quite a walk over nettles covered pathway. Beautiful but not great with kids. Came back for food Told order from place across road and can eat in club house. Got food.. pie, pizza, burger, chicken with chips in paper bags! Hubby went back to caravan to get plates and cutlery to eat in club house so kids could do disco. Very bizarre... no restaurant in club house. I. get take away but only restaurant few tables in take away.... came away to not wash up! Good kids disco

We had a nice holiday and a special thank you to Shelley who helped us get home when we couldn’t get a taxi. Room was really clean and the entertainment was very good. We look forward to coming back in the future as we very much enjoyed our stay in brean

It was a okay stay but when we got there it wasn’t ready and wasn’t very disabled friendly. The WiFi didn’t really work and signal wasn’t the best but what topped it all off was we had bed bugs in the double bed but there isn’t much to do unless you have young kids or older adults

Excellent Stay, Silver Chalet was very clean, double bed very comfy. Shower pressure excellent. Everything we needed was supplied. The staff at Sandyglade are amazing so helpful, mature lady on reception is a really credit. All staff seem happy and friendly. Reading the 2 reviews below I can’t believe we stayed at the same site. No towels are supplied but this is clearly stated at booking. No complaints at all from us and we have already booked again for the Soul and Motown weekend in March.

The entertainments team were outstanding and they were fantastic with the special needs child we bought with us. They did everything they could to include him in all activities and really made his holiday special for him . A huge thank you Sean Kiran and Tori from Rowan and family. You all were brilliant. Yes when we arrived there were some issues with the accommodation but the housekeeping and maintenance team immediately came and did everything they could to resolve the issues. Again we could not have asked more from them and thay were friendly happy and really helpful. Thank you Claire Fraser and Chris. We had such a great time we will be booking again and will be bringing 2 more children with us next time.

I’m trying to think off something nice to say as I listen to screaming drunk adults argue outside my chalet . .. when I arrived the chalet was old and dirty , the head board was hanging off , the radiator fell off the wall , the skirting of the kitchen cupboards was half attached , I spent some hours one day with no water , the shower goes cold when it feels like it . Patio windows were so dirty I couldn’t see out ( probably was a good thing ) If you want to feel like you’re in an episode of little Britton then book here . You can have a nice walk to the beach , but can’t go in the sea or to far out due to sinking sand .if you like arcades , 2p machines ,candy floss and low low budget accommodation you’ll be fine ..you can play bingo and drink a lot , it helps if you need to go back to your chalet ( and may help you sleep over the drunks coming from the phoenix nights club house . There’s a walk to a fort at the end of the beach , six pound to park. Avoid the national trust cafe according to other reviews. The lady in the shops nice .
