This is a large luxury hotel that has seen better days. There was mold in she shower, the shower drain was slow (leaving me standing in water as I showered), the towels were old and frayed, and the drain cover in the center of the bathroom was loose. The Wi-Fi in my room was not working, despite two complaints to the front desk. The plaster was bubbling off the walls in my room and the lamp shades were frayed. The hotel caters to tour groups, which meant that there were hundreds of guests in the dining room -- I felt like I was back in school with the large, noisy dining hall. Smoking is allowed, and the smoke from the bar drifted up to my floor through the central atrium, leaving my clothes reeking of smoke. For me, the smoke was the worst part. Our tour group seemed divided -- the smokers in our group liked the location and didn't mind the smoke, while others shared my disappointment. After our tour finished, I checked out and moved to a hotel on the other side of Manger Square, where my experience was far better.
