My friend & I stayed at the hotel with our two dogs when we were taking part in a CaniCross event in Snowdonia. The hotel is very basic but served a purpose giving us a bed for the night to give us a head start to the starting line the following morning. The decor is antwacky and is in need of updating. As we had to leave early for the race the receptionist made us packed lunches to take with us. That was a nice little touch!

Traditional pub, hotel bar and tavern cafe all serve food at reasonable prices. There is a wide choice of places to enjoy a meal and drink, with opportunities to sit outside in summer, and take advantage of the beautifully landscaped gardens, which include an adventure playground for children. The restaurant is open from March to October. The Fudge Shop, where the hotel makes its own fudge, is a temptation not to be missed.
